CNN Hires Disgraced Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe

The network most closely associated with fake news and plummeting ratings continued its race to the bottom by hiring disgraced ex-FBI official Andrew McCabe.

CNN long ago discarded any appearance that it upholds even the lowest journalistic standards, and bringing aboard the ex-FBI deputy director who was fired for cause further demonstrates its commitment to fake news and propaganda. McCabe, whose wife took money from the likes of Hillary Clinton, was fired after an internal Department of Justice investigation conducted by the impartial Inspector General. The probe revealed that McCabe engaged in misconduct, and his dereliction of duties included perjury under oath and leaking confidential information to the media for the purpose of smearing President Donald Trump.

“Disgraceful,” President Trump tweeted about CNN hiring McCabe. “Such a sad and pathetic fall for @CNN and Jeff Z!”

But the move is not surprising given the fake news network’s soiled reputation. During the 2016 Democratic Party’s primary race, CNN gave Hillary Clinton advanced debate questions to help her upstage Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. The media outlet engaged in what many perceived as a pre-election coronation of Hillary. But CNN’s proclamation that her GOP opponent had no pathway to the presidency proved false. After Trump earned more than 300 electoral college votes, CNN never recovered any semblance of credibility. Falling ratings have gone hand-in-glove with its willingness to put compete lowlifes on TV to attack the Trump Administration.

“(McCabe’s) credibility is non-existent,” The Hill reporter Joe Concha said. “This is truly a disservice to CNN viewers, which will only further plunge the network’s credibility into a black hole.”

The July 2019 ratings indicate that CNN has once again declined, despite its already low viewership. The fake news network came in at a far-distant third place in a field of three cable news channels behind Fox News and MSNBC. Last July, CNN lost 11 percent of its prime time viewers and 13 percent of total viewers for the month. This July, prime time viewership plummeted by 32 percent and 32 total viewers.

A recent report from AdWeek placed CNN out of the top 10 cable stations with channels such as the Hallmark Network, History, and Home and Garden TV garnering more viewers. Fox News and MSNBC ranked number one and two, respectively. Fox earned the top four most-watched cable news programs in July: Hannity, Tucker Carlson Tonight, The Ingraham Angle, and The Five. MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow took the number-five spot. CNN did not post a single show in the top 20, with Cuomo Prime Time ranked 24th, and Anderson Cooper 360 trailing at 26th. The ratings lend quantifiable testimony to the failed fake news network’s willingness to manipulate information and mislead everyday Americans.

“CNN teams up with Andrew McCabe to attack the President,” Congressman Jim Jordan tweeted. “The same McCabe who was out to stop President Trump and who the Inspector General found lied three times!”

Making a deal with McCabe gives off the same foul smell CNN engaged in with porn star Stormy Daniels and her former lawyer Michael Avenatti. The pair filed a scurrilous lawsuit against President Trump that was thrown out of court. A judge ruled in the president’s favor, and made Daniels pay damages, not the other way around. CNN had Avenatti on the fake news network a stunning 59 times in two months, more than any elected official during the same period.

In the end, Avenatti was successfully sued for not paying a former colleague, evicted from office space for owing back-rent, and currently faces a criminal trial for extortion. CNN had promoted Avenatti as a potential 2020 Democrat candidate to unseat Trump. CNN appears to be living in an alternative universe devoid of facts, truth, or even commonsense. McCabe is just the latest troll in an excruciating cast of characters spreading phony narratives, hoaxes, and liberal extremist propaganda.

“Honestly, you can’t make this stuff up,” political strategist Chris Barron said. “At this point, CNN would be willing to hire Baghdad Bob if he promised to criticize Trump. It’s sad to see the once-respected outlet reduced to this.”
