Connecticut Sued for Terminating Religious Vaccine Exemptions for Students

Democrat Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont recently signed a bill ending religious exemptions for public school students who don’t want to get vaccinated for COVID-19. We the Patriots USA and CT Freedom Alliance are taking the government to court to help parents regain the right to make medical decisions for their own children.

The legal action comes as a growing number of states are also considering ending vaccine exemptions for children attending school. If religious exemptions are denied, parents who opt not to vaccinate their children would lose access to public and private daycare centers, schools, high schools, colleges, and universities.

Supporters of the bill argue that routine vaccinations played a vital role in stemming the spread of preventable diseases such as measles and chickenpox. They also allege that the decline in the number of children who have been vaccinated before attending public school is responsible for the spread of preventable diseases across the nation. However, statistics show that there has been no outbreak of a disease in Connecticut for more than sixty years.

What’s more, many parents are rightly concerned that the number of mandated vaccines for children could soon include a new COVID-19 vaccine. Manufacturers are already working with liberal politicians, celebrities, and pundits have been calling for mandatory vaccine passports for months.

While parents do have reasons to be concerned about the side effects of traditional vaccines, there are even more reasons to be concerned about a potential COVID-19 shot for children under the age of 12. COVID-19 shots just recently received FDA approval, and many of them not only cause dangerous health problems but also fail to prevent COVID-19. Indeed, hundreds of people all around the world who have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

We the Patriots USA and CT Freedom Alliance face an uphill battle in Connecticut, as past Supreme Court rulings give states the authority to make laws mandating vaccinations for children attending public and private schools. Deep down, Americans know that this is a violation of all fundamental freedoms guaranteed in the Constitution. Any ruling the contrary proves that the Constitution is no longer in consideration.

  1. The State has no legal authority to force vaccinations…..period. Clear Constitutional and Civil Rights violations that must be challenged at every level.

  2. As a Connecticut resident, I know what unconstitutional laws that have been passed in recent years, and there are many. The vaccine mandate is a CLEAR violation of the First Amendment . This tyrannical behavior MUST be stopped !
