CRINGE: MSNBC Tries to Use Rap Lyrics to Scare Viewers About COVID

“How do you do, fellow kids?”

This is basically the message you get in the first clip shown the video below — and it only gets worse from there.

When are politicians going to learn that they’re just…not cool? They’ve never been cool. They’re the opposite of cool. The sooner they accept that, the easier it’s going to be for everyone involved. That said, we’re almost grateful for their painful self-delusions, because it creates endless entertainment value for the rest of us.

The video below opens with a clip of an MSNBC host appropriating the words of late New York rapper Biggie Smalls, also known as the Notorious BIG, to drive home his point about COVID. This isn’t a unique take at all — it’s the same “stay in your home for the rest of eternity or you might get the sniffles” schtick that we’ve been seeing for over a year now. Apparently, the producers over at the network have run out of ideas on how to scare people. So, now they’re content with just making us laugh.

From there, we’re treated to other gems such as New York Mayor Bill de Blasio using fast food to try and bribe his subjects into getting the experimental jab. There’s also a bit where Senator Chuck Schumer gets on stage and awkwardly dances to a beat he’s clearly never heard before in his life.

Remember, kids — if you get vaccinated, you’ll be super cool just like Chuck Schumer and Bill de Blasio. Isn’t that what everyone wants?!

The cold reality is that vaccines have been fully available for everyone who wants to get one for a very long time now. Those who haven’t received the jab have their reasons, and they’re clearly not changing their minds. We’ve also seen the lethality of COVID-19 take an absolute nose dive with the Delta variant proving far less deadly than its already survivable predecessors. This begs the obvious question — what are we even doing here anymore?

Here’s some cringe to binge.
