Former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard tore into the Biden administration – blasting them for statements which promote abusing children.
Gabbard is specifically referring to the administration’s efforts to push puberty blockers for kids – even after the FDA warned that this treatment could have serious side effects.
At the beginning of July, the FDA issued a warning about gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) substances (puberty blockers); the FDA warned that the blockers could trigger brain swelling, loss of vision, and serious risks for children injecting the hormone.
“The FDA made a disturbing, but not at all surprising announcement just a few days ago about children’s health,” Gabbard stated.
“Now, if you haven’t heard about it, or, if you missed it, it is because the mainstream media and the Biden-Harris administration have been completely silent on it, and this warning that the FDA issued was basically saying that puberty blockers can cause serious health risks for our kids. Unfortunately, at almost the exact same time the FDA issued this warning, Biden-Harris administration officials were making public statements actively promoting the use of puberty blockers and irreversible surgeries for kids.”
“Now, let’s be clear: this administration is dangerously promoting child abuse,” she blasted.
Following the FDA’s warning, Rachel Levine, the United States assistant secretary for health and the first transgender federal official to be confirmed by the Senate, once again endorsed children receiving “gender-affirmation” care, claiming it was “life-saving, medically necessary, age-appropriate, and a critical tool for health care providers.”
“As a pediatrician, when it comes to making sure kids are healthy and happy, I know how important care that affirms someone’s true identity can be,” Levine continued.
The Biden administration’s Health and Human Services department has backed things like “‘top’ surgery — to create male-typical chest shape or enhance breasts” or “‘bottom’ surgery — surgery on genitals or reproductive organs.”
“We really want to debase our treatment and to affirm and to support and empower these youth, not to limit their participation in sports and even limit their ability to get gender-affirmation treatment in their state,” Levine stated on MSNBC.
Meanwhile, Florida’s Department of Health has also warned about the risks of providing children with the Biden admin sponsored puberty blockers or hormone therapy.
“Based on the currently available evidence ‘encouraging mastectomy, ovariectomy, uterine extirpation, penile disablement, tracheal shave, the prescription of hormones which are out of line with the genetic make-up of the child, or puberty blockers, are all clinical practices which run an unacceptably high risk of doing harm,’” Florida’s Department of Health stated.
Knowing full-well the risks, the Biden administration continues to promote this dangerous agenda, and a transgender psychologist, has recently admitted that the surge in children who identify as their opposite sex is alarming – and has gone too far.
Erica Anderson, a 71-year-old biological male who identifies as female, this week spoke to the Los Angeles Times about the explosion of gender-confused kids.
“I think it’s gone too far,” Anderson said. “For a while, we were all happy that society was becoming more accepting and more families than ever were embracing children that were gender variant. Now it’s got to the point where there are kids presenting at clinics whose parents say, ‘This just doesn’t make sense.’”
