Coups and government overthrows are the considered things of so-called “banana republics.” Not anymore.
The seething loss of Democrats to now Pres. Donald J. Trump has left-leaning extremists ready, willing and highly motivated to begin impeachment proceeding should they regain the majority after the mid-term elections. Considering that Pres. Trump has yet to be cited for a “high crime or misdemeanor,” the Democrats’ strategy wreaks of illegality and is the type of loathsome behavior one would expect from third-world dictators.
Welcome to the new and “progressive” Democratic Party…
Democrats Always Planned To Impeach Pres. Trump
The impeachment talk began even before Pres. Trump took the oath of office, and much of it was based on the false narrative about Russian collusion. Investigators are now looking at Democratic leaders and operatives about possible election meddling. The trail leads as high as the Obama White House.
In December of 2016, liberal senators such as Elizabeth Warren, Dick Durbin, Jeff Merkley, Chris Coons, and Ben Cardin pushed a measure that would call for impeachment unless Pres. Trump divested himself from his business empire. It appears the conspiracy to impeach was hatched before the final votes were even tallied.
And, less than one month after being sworn in, California Democrats formed the Impeach Trump Leadership PAC led by Boyd Roberts.
It may come as a surprise to everyday Americans that don’t follow the Washington swamp’s every move, by high-ranking Democrats have already introduced Articles of Impeachment against the president.
U.S. House Rep. Al Green and Rep. Brad Sherman, both Democrats, made moves to impeach the sitting president during his first year in office. Rep. Green pushed to get a vote on moving forward with formal proceedings. Although the measure was shot down by 364-58 on a motion to table Green’s effort, it’s important to recognize that 58 elected Democrats voted in favor of impeaching a duly elected president despite no wrongdoing. Rep. Green asserted that Pres. Trump was “unfit” basically because their political views differ.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Democrat Whop Steny Hoyer supported impeachment at a later time, releasing a statement:
“This president has made statements and taken actions that are beyond the pale for most Americans, embracing those who espouse hatred and division while promoting policies that would harm our economy and undermine our national security. Legitimate questions have been raised about his fitness to lead this nation.”
As the mid-term elections near, Pelosi and her liberal extremist base hope to gain a Democratic majority who can oust Pres. Trump.
Impeachment Driven By Big Democrat Donors
According to reports from left-leaning media outlets such as New York Mag, big donors are driving the impeachment narrative. It was widely reported that the Democratic National Committee had hit rock financial bottom in 2017, and staying out of bankruptcy has come down to doing the bidding of left-wing zealots.
Tom Steyer, a prominent liberal and Democrat mega-donor holds sway over numerous Democrat politicians. The founder of OneCalifornia Bank that morphed into Oakland’s Beneficial State Bank has an estimated reported personal wealth of more than $1.5 billion. The Ivy League-educated liberal spoke at the 2012 Democratic National Convention, and was instrumental in ex-Pres. Obama’s obstruction of the Keystone XL Pipeline.
The far-left donor reportedly dumped upwards of $74 million into the Democrats’ failed 2014 election bids, another $87 million in 2016 only to watch Hillary Clinton fail, and yet another $2.3 million opposing immigration reform touted by the Trump Administration. The powerful man has already invested approximately $10 million in TV ads calling for Pres. Trump’s impeachment. Recently, Steyer stumped his impeachment politics in Orlando, Florida.
“We’re not choosing a president, we’re getting rid of a president,” Steyer reportedly said at a Democratic rally of 150. “And we’re going to get what the Constitution gives us, which is definitely not the first choice of anyone in this room, or the second choice, or the third choice.”
With the financial health of the Democratic Party at stake, fringe characters such as Steyer and Texas Rep. Green are driving the country towards a Constitutional crisis. However, only if the radical left regains a majority in Congress.
