During the run-up to the historic 2016 elections, now-President Donald Trump promised to stand tall against communist China. But with the establishment media working overtime to distract everyday Americans with phony Russian collusion narratives, the strong financial ties between high-profile Democrats and China’s Communist Party flew under the radar.
We know now that former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, stood to gain millions from further alignment with China’s “Belt and Road” strategy to dominate global markets. In 2014, the communists reportedly dumped $34 million into a firm owned by Hunter Biden and former Secretary of State John Kerry’s stepson, Chris Heinz. With massive U.S. real estate purchases planned, the total deal would have reportedly reached $3 billion.
Everyday Americans also know that the Democratic Party’s brass, including Hillary Clinton, favored a Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal that would have invigorated China’s manufacturing base while snuffing out American jobs. But no one could have predicted that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and other congressional Democrats would stonewall investigations into the COVID-19 pandemic that may have been funded by American taxpayer dollars.
“We should have an investigative body looking at these grants, but Nancy Pelosi is not going to do that. The (National Institute of Health) funded EcoHealth Alliance, which then, in turn, turned around and partially funded the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” Pennsylvania Rep. Guy Reschenthaler said. “The DOD also gave EcoHealth Alliance $6.5 million in a grant, and like you said, that grant was to understand bat-borne zoonotic disease in context with weapons of mass destruction.”
U.S. intelligence agencies continue to report that COVID-19 has been linked to Chinese laboratories in the Wuhan region. Although scientists point to genetic markers that refute the notion it was created in a lab, it’s abundantly clear China was conducting research on bats and their relationship to varieties of coronavirus. However, scientists linked to agencies such as the China-aligned World Health Organization (WHO) have been floating propaganda to dismiss U.S. investigations that lead to Wuhan labs.
“What they’re trying to do essentially is jam this down our throats without the evidence, and especially when there’s evidence to the contrary. To me, that’s not the scientific method, that’s the political method,” former U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases researcher Lawrence Sellin reportedly said.
Congressional Democrats are more than willing to divert attention away from the fact that China bears responsibility for tens of thousands of American lives being lost, more than a million infections, and a devastated economy.
Speaker Pelosi and other liberal extremists have called President Trump’s decisive move to end funding for the WHO “illegal” and vowed to restore taxpayer benefits. The WHO kowtowed to China by repeating false propaganda that COVID-19 posed no pandemic risk.
Rather than focus on the duplicitous methods used by the communists to stifle the free flow of information while hoarding medical supplies, Pelosi has opened yet another anti-Trump witch hunt. The White House has already been forced to deny calls for COVID-19 task force expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, to testify before a Democrat-led committee rather than remain focused on defeating the contagion.
To say Democrats have their values upside-down would be something of an understatement. They would like nothing better than to return to business as usual when foreign powers such as China lined their pockets, even if it costs Americans their jobs, and lives.
