The White House and its acolytes in the FDA and CDC are clearly gearing up to push vaccinations for children ages 5 – 11. At the same time, they want even fully vaccinated children to remain masked indefinitely.
Speaking to the press about the possibility of fully vaccinated children attending school without a mask, CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said that “we cannot be complacent” before extolling the benefits of mask-wearing indoors. She finished by stating that the CDC would continue to recommend masking in schools as it looks forward to “scaling out pediatric vaccination.”
If the comments sound vague and unspecific, it’s because they were likely meant to be. However, a close look at what Dr. Walensky is saying makes it clear that the CDC will continue to insist on mandatory mask-wearing even for fully vaccinated children.
There is no clear indication of when the CDC would stop recommending mandated mask-wearing. Dr. Walensky offers no timetable or goal stating when masks could be ditched. Rather, she provided a nauseating, half-baked comment essentially urging parents to vaccinate their little ones while keeping them masked.
It’s not hard to see even fully vaccinated parents rebelling against such guidelines. After all, why bother vaccinating children if there are no tangible benefits for doing so? Furthermore, if schools with mask mandates are really “three-and-a-half times less likely to have school outbreaks requiring school closure,” as Dr. Walensky claims, why bother with the shot in the first place?
It’s a known fact that powerful, pro-Democrat teacher unions were allowed to unduly influence CDC policies for schools. Thus, one would have to wonder if these powerful unions are using their influence to keep mask mandates in place even if they would no longer be needed.
Current statistics show that only 55% of 12-15-year-olds are at least partially vaccinated, as compared to 62% of 16-17-year-olds and over 70% of adults over the age of 40. It’s clear that parents aren’t keen on having their children shot up with an experimental vaccine. Even so, that has not deterred the White House from buying tens of millions of pediatric vaccines and telling states to prepare for COVID vaccinations for young children.
It will also most likely not deter President Biden from issuing yet another Draconian decree. These same children will be forced by Democrat policy-makers to continue to mask up until those in power decide it’s no longer convenient. There is nothing scientific about such a move. Rather, it’s about exerting power and authority to justify their own existence.
