DISTURBING: Biden Health Official Promotes Transgender Surgeries For Children As “Necessary”

President Joe Biden’s Assistant Secretary of Health Rachel Levine, who is transgender, pushed for young people to get gender reassignment surgeries during a speaking appearance at a DNC pride month event.

Gender affirming care is lifesaving, medically necessary, age-appropriate, and a critical tool for health care providers,” Levine said.

As a pediatrician, when it comes to making sure kids are healthy and happy, I know how important care that affirmed someone’s true identity can be,” Levine added.

The Biden administration has been openly promoting “gender-affirming” health care, particularly for young people, arguing that it’s appropriate – even necessary – for kids to undergo things such as hormone therapy and sex-change surgeries.

A new report from the Heritage Foundation has revealed just how dangerous the irresponsible push by the Biden administration is, revealing that making puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones easier for minors to access has actually increased youth suicide rates.

Critics hammered Levine’s recent speech, with many concerned that the Biden administration was intentionally trying to harm America’s youth.

“Parents, you don’t have to pretend this is normal. It’s not,” tweeted CatholicVote.org, a national faith-based advocacy group. “Protect your kids. And vote.”

Actually, in states where access to puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones were more readily available to minors, the suicide rates INCREASED,” wrote Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS), who is also a medical doctor, attaching a link to an essay confirming that lowering legal barriers for minors to undergo cross-sex medical interventions without parental consent leads to higher rates of suicide among young people in the states that have adopted these changes.

What’s ‘medically necessary’ is for this man to stop pushing his perverted agenda around,” wrote actor Chris Ashworth. “The last thing he should have any say in is what’s good for kids.”

Biden Administration aggressively promoting irreversible chemical sterilization and castration of healthy young boys and girls,” wrote Stephen Miller, who served as a top aide to President Donald Trump.

“If an 18 year old isn’t mature enough to own a gun, then a 5 year old isn’t mature enough to decide which gender they are,” wrote one Twitter user referencing the Democrats’ recent attempts to lower the age at which one can buy a gun.

“This is dangerous ideology,” wrote another. “Shout it from a street corner or a padded cell but not from a government podium for all the world to see.”

“Some day, hopefully in the very near future, we will look back on this time in medical history and regard puberty blockers and surgically affirming a child’s ‘true’ identity, much the same way we now view lobotomies and bloodlettings,” another user wrote.

Meanwhile, Democrats are looking to advance their trans agenda by backing a new resolution for a “Trans Bill of Rights.”

This resolution provides a comprehensive framework to provide protections for transgender and nonbinary people, ensuring that they are not discriminated against or persecuted for their gender identity and expression,” according to a press release.

“With this resolution, we salute the resilience and courage of trans people across our country, and outline a clear vision of what we must do in Congress in order to allow trans people to lead full, happy lives with the basic freedoms to housing, physical and mental healthcare, and employment without discrimination or a risk to their lives,” Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) said in a statement.

The proposed plan of action would almost certainly have dramatic negative repercussions for the rights of Americans who do not support the LGBT agenda, as it would entail enshrining the concept of gender identity within civil rights law.

The plan would involve editing “the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to explicitly include gender identity and sex characteristics as protected characteristics” and altering “federal education laws to explicitly clarify that they protect students from discrimination based on gender identity and sex characteristics,” according to the press release.
