The left-leaning media was quick to tout Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s DNA results as proof she has Native American ancestry, but organizations such as the Boston Globe who failed to thoroughly verify the facts already have egg on their faces.
So low, if any, is the possible bloodline that the senator dubbed “Pocahontas” by Pres. Donald J. Trump is less Native American than the average U.S. citizen. If she was looking for vindication en route to a presidential bid, this little charade backfired, “big league” as the president likes to say.
A Cheater and a Racist
Following the results of the DNA test, everyday Americans can be certain about two things. Sen. Warren is, in fact, a cheater and her claims are racist to their core.
Warren checked a box claiming she was Native American to gain a minority advantage in academia, one she has parlayed into becoming a U.S. senator. Critics have pointed to her manipulating the system to get ahead and at least one minority university applicant was unfairly cheated by Warren.
Although the Boston Globe was quick to back Warren’s claim, the liberal media outlet was forced to publish two corrections within 24 hours. As it turns out, Warren is apparently less Native American than average, and her percentage could be as low a 1/1024th. No one in Warren’s lineage has been listed as being Cherokee, which she claims. The senator has repeatedly said her great-great-great-grandmother, O.C. Sarah Smith, was part Cherokee. If true, Warren would be a minimum of 1/32 Native American. She is not.
Even the far-left New York Times debunked Warren’s position, citing data that indicates “researchers found that European-Americans had genomes that were on average 98.6 percent European, .19 percent African, and .18 Native American.” Clearly, Warren simply cheated to get where she is today.
The other item Americans can now take as fact is that Warren’s claims are inherently racist. Her so-called family folklore stories and DNA results are questionable at best, lies at worst. But Warren has publicly pointed to her “high cheekbones” as a physical trait that she is Native American. Such stereotypical language point to the fact the senator is deeply racist. Her claims are the equivalent of saying all Irish are drunks or all Asians are short.
Native Americans Furious Over “Fauxahontas”
If Warren thought for an instant that demonstrating she has Cherokee DNA was going to help her cheat her way into the White House, she is sadly mistaken. In fact, Native Americans are angry about her ridiculous claims. The Cherokee Nation has already issued a statement condemning Warren.
“Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong. It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, who ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven. Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage,” Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. said in an official statement.
Some true Cherokee Nation members are calling on Warren to apologize for her distasteful DNA-based claims.
Even academic colleagues of the Ivy League-educated Warren are panning her Native American claims.
“There’s this really critical distinction between DNA and ancestry on one hand and identity and belonging on the other,” University of Connecticut anthropologic geneticist Deborah Bolnick reportedly said. “These are things based on social connections. Especially in the context of tribal nations — these are sovereign nations with political, legal, and political contexts to them. It’s not genetically determined.”
The radically liberal MSNBC mocked Warren when host Craig Melvin said: “Best I can gather, according to your paper’s reporting, she’s 1/1000 or something like that, I think I might be as Native American as she is.” Ouch!
On Fox News, hosts such Tucker Carlson likes to spin off Pres. Trump’s nickname and call her “Fauxahontas” for her claim.
No Path to Presidency for Warren
With the exception of fake news organizations such as CNN, Warren’s Native American ancestry claim has been nothing but a joke. She has apparently gone into full meltdown mode over the debacle.
After much of the media pushed back, Warren went on a 20-plus tweet rant defending herself and insulting the president. The hysteria sounded nothing like victory. And that being said, polls show that Warren has little or no chance of ever earning the Democratic party’s 2020 presidential nomination.
A recent CNN poll that generally favors far-left candidates put Warren in fourth place among Democrat hopefuls. Warren suffers less than 10-percent popularity among Democrats with former Vice Pres. Joe Biden leading the field at 33 percent.

She was not tested against Cherokee DNA. She still has zero indication she is Cherokee related. Why is it anyone who claims to be part Native American is always Cherokee? I had read a while back that a local church had a recorded document stating her mom and dad was married in the church! And even after her own statement on the DNA showing Indian ancestry MAYBE 6-10 generations back, she came out with a video just two weeks ago STILL claiming her mom and dad (TWO generations back!) eloped over racism in the family!
