It’s no surprise that social media outlets engaged in election meddling, but reports have emerged that Facebook fact-checkers were on the communist payroll.
Few, if any, have been fooled by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s claims that the platform’s fact-checkers are independent and impartial. The social media mogul was hauled in front of the U.S. Senate where wide-reaching examples of conservative suppression were made clear. Zuckerberg’s non-answers and hollow assurances to balance free speech fell on deaf ears.
With President Donald Trump pushing back and defeating China in a trade war, millions were spent manipulating narratives to put Joe Biden in the White House. What everyday people didn’t realize was that the communists funneled money through the infamous Tik Tok company to a leading Facebook fact-checker to interfere in the election.
The fact-checking outfit is called “Lead Stories,” and it secured a backdoor contract to make decisions about information circulating on Facebook. The problem with claims that fact-checking outfits are independent is that Lead Stories is also taking money from Tik Tok, which is under the control of Beijing-based ByteDance. Officials at the popular app take their marching orders from the Chinese Communist Party.
It’s common knowledge that Tik Tok felt the brunt of President Trump’s ire after U.S. intelligence agencies discovered the communists use the technology to spy on Americans.
Adding insult to injury, Lead Stories began as a left-wing news startup in 2015 as the brainchild of a Belgian website designer and Alan Duke, a former CNN muckraker. Its operating costs were reportedly under $50,000 in 2017. But after securing lucrative contracts from the likes of Tik Tok (China) and Facebook, its revenue spiked to nearly a half-million dollars almost overnight. Since taking communist money through the backdoor and suppressing factually correct information, Lead Stories filled its staff with former CNN employees.
Needless to say, when the bombshell report surfaced that Hunter Biden was negotiating a $10 million deal with the Chinese Communist Party to work as an influence broker and Joe Biden was reportedly taking a 10-percent cut, those reports were deemed “misinformation.” The true facts reported by the New York Post were censored, deleted, and met with criticism as a “Russian plant” story. The fact-checkers at Facebook appear to have meddled in the election in an unprecedented fashion.
“A McClatchy poll said that 36 percent of Biden voters had never heard of the Hunter Biden story because of the censorship and suppression. Of that, 13 percent, once they found out, said they wouldn’t have voted for Biden,” Sen. Ron Johnson reportedly said. “So, that means that 4.6 percent of Biden voters would not have voted for him. That means that Trump would have won the election. That’s the enormous influence that social media and our liberal biased media played on this election.”
The Biden corruption report would have changed the trajectory of the presidential election. That’s why China invested millions into buying off establishment media outlets and social media platforms. The money comes through backdoor channels and turns once-credible resources into part of China’s global propaganda arm.
