This might sound like a crazy hot take at this point, but ceding your party to the people who wear Che Guevara shirts and praise Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro probably isn’t the best way to convince latino Americans to vote for you.
By the time you’re reading this, there’s a chance that enough miraculous boxes filled with blue ballots were found in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, and Kamala Harris is now a literal heartbeat away from being the next President of the United States. Regardless, the fact remains that the Democratic Party is losing ground with a demographic once considered to be a shoe-in.
Florida has maintained a reputation over the years as the state for Republicans to win in general elections. In fact, no Republican contender has been able to with the White House without the backing of the Sunshine State. As it happens, a ton of ex-pats from Cuba, Venezuela, and other South American countries live there — particularly in Miami-Dade County. In recent years, Democrats have been able to push their intersectionality agenda, and convince many hispanic voters that Republicans have it out for them for whatever reason.
No matter what the official results are, we can already make this call: that didn’t work in 2020. With more than 50 percent of Cuban Americans voting for Trump — and upwards of 30 percent of Puerto Ricans living in Florida — the GOP clinching the coveted swing state along with its 29 electoral votes.
“Trump showed up in Florida. He asked us what our issues are and he addressed them. He didn’t take us for granted,” Republican strategist and Latinos for Trump board member Bertica Cabrera Morris told NBC News.
It isn’t hard to understand why Latino Americans — especially those living in Florida — warmed up to President Donald Trump and the Republican Party. Many of these Americans have active memories of living under a communist dictatorship — and their children grew up hearing the horror stories of Che and the Castros. These regimes put counter-revolutionaries to firing squads. They destroyed private businesses. They quashed any semblance of personal freedom. Despite this, the Democratic Party has since welcomed members that will actually defend socialism without any reservation.
This new “woke” version of the Democratic Party is certainly popular with white liberals — especially millennials and Gen Zers. This is not the case with of America’s new arrivals who came to this country to escape these ideologies.
If Republicans learn anything from this performance, it’s this: it is still possible to bridge the gap with other demographics. Apparently, all it takes is letting the Democrats expose themselves.

I watched on Election night…..and noticed what I thought was strange….when Biden won a state….the electoral votes
were added to his tally…..but when Trump won….those votes were not added to his side. Even with Florida and the
huge amount of electoral votes……his tally was only changed by one….One?? Florida surely had more than one vote.
What was going on? I think Trump has been Cheated. Big time.
As long as electoral votes up for Biden Democrats are happy, but when Trump numbers go up then they will claim not the will of the people or voter fraud. That’s why it has to go to the supreme court, because the democrats cannot see the error of their way. I would not be happy if a biden win, but I will always be grateful for having the best President ever. A true patriot with a love for country and its people like no other. The Democratic Party will not stop their corrupt ways to win at all cost. Our freedom is at stake and too many are not looking at this as a problem to be worried about.
