Hillary Clinton’s Craziest Excuse Yet

Hillary Clinton has been making excuses for why she lost the election since she finally emerged after the election, defeated. She recently released a campaign memoir and added a few more new excuses to her list: Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and voter ID laws.

The memoir is 469 pages of how she lost the election, and she puts the blame on everyone but herself in the process. She has claimed that this memoir outlines a few of the things that cost her the election.

She released What Happened last Tuesday, and was late to her promotion and book signing by an hour. This was after her supporters waited, some overnight, for her to arrive. She had released some passages early, and those mentioned her blame on James Comey and even some blame on primary opponent Bernie Sanders. Now that the book is out, if you can make it through to the end, then you will see that she has placed a lot of blame on some “discriminatory” voter laws, or so she says.

Page 418 marks the beginning of this new claim and she called it voter suppression. In the book, she blames the Trump campaign for actively trying “to discourage people from voting at all.” She even claims that this has been a long-term strategy for the Republican party as a way to disenfranchise Democratic voters.

In her book she writes, “The Supreme Court under Chief Justice John Roberts opened the floodgates by gutting the Voting Rights Act in 2013. When I was in the Senate, we voted to reauthorize the law 98 to 0 and President George W. Bush signed it, but Justice Roberts essentially argued that racism was a thing of the past, and therefore the country no longer needed key protections of the Voting Rights Act.”

Clinton went on to write that this was one of the worst decisions that the Supreme Court has ever made. She even went to far to write that there were fourteen states, and she listed them, that has now voter ID restrictions that were just in time for the 2016 election. These restrictions apparently were in place to help prevent the working class, the elderly, students, and even people of color from voting. She blames Kris Kobach, previous Kansas Secretary of State and current vice chairman of President Trump’s voter fraud commission, for assisting in this effort nationally.

She even tried to back this up by “debunking” a case study done by writing, “Since the election, studies have documented how big an impact all this suppression had on the outcome. States with harsh new voting laws, such as Wisconsin, saw turnout dip 1.7 points, compared with a 1.3-point increase in states where the law didn’t change. In Wisconsin, where I lost by just 22,748 votes, a study from Priorities USA estimated that the new voter ID law helped reduce turnout by 200,000 votes, primarily from low-income and minority areas. Before the election, one Republican state representative in Wisconsin predicted the new law would help Trump pull off an upset in the state. It turns out he was right.”

This study has been ranked as “mostly false” according to PolitiFact, however. On the day of her memoir release, PolitiFact wrote, “Priorities USA, a group that supports Democratic candidates, had issued a report saying a decline in voter turnout between the 2012 and 2016 presidential elections in Wisconsin was entirely due to the state’s photo ID requirement, but experts told us that while photo ID requirements may reduce turnout to some extent, they questioned the methodology of the report.”

Something that she fails to mention is that she did not even visit Wisconsin during the primaries, which likely had a lot to do with the fact that she lost in that state. PolitiFact also outlined that there is no possible way to determine how many did not vote in the state due to the ID requirement.

Now, these claims are becoming more and more outrageous as time goes on. She has blame the emails, James Comey, and much more. It makes you wonder what will be the next thing on her list. But with each passing day, Americans have another reason to be thankful that this self-obsessed narcissist was denied the White House.
