HUGE! Mask Mandates Come Crashing Down as GOP Finally Fights Back!

The Senate has finally passed a long overdue resolution to end mask mandates on all public transport – with the GOP dealing a major blow to the Democrats’ hopes of forever controlling every aspect of our lives.

Not surprisingly Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul led the charge on the resolution which received just enough bipartisan support to see it pass as 8 Democrats threw their weight behind it.

Well-known Rhino Mitt Romney was the only Republican Senator to vote against the resolution solidifying his support for anti-American values.

Today, the Senate said enough is enough, and sent a message to unelected government bureaucrats to stop the anti-science, nanny state requirement of travel mask mandates,” Paul said in a statement after the vote.

Since March 2020, unelected bureaucrats have incessantly declared that we should ‘follow the science,’” he said. “But the same bureaucrats continue to defy science by imposing an ineffective and restrictive mask mandate for individuals traveling on public transit and airplanes.”

Paul further revelaed that his decision to force the vote was to expose and call out the federal government’s continued use of “fear mongering to stubbornly perpetuate its mandates” while the world learns to “live with COVID.”

The Kentucky senator also called for “clear-eyed, rational advice on how to best protect yourself from illness.”

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) had recently announced plans to extend the mask mandate until at least April 18.

“At CDC’s recommendation, TSA will extend the security directive for mask use on public transportation and transportation hubs for one month, through April 18th,” an administration official said.

“During that time, CDC will work with government agencies to help inform a revised policy framework for when, and under what circumstances, masks should be required in the public transportation corridor,” the official added.

“This revised framework will be based on the COVID-19 community levels, risk of new variants, national data, and the latest science. We will communicate any updates publicly if and/or when they change.”

A group of 17 GOP congress members meanwhile has sued the CDC, asserting that the government agency lacks the legal authority to force people to wear a mask on airplanes.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention does not have the legal authority to force people traveling on commercial airlines to wear masks,” Rep. Thomas Massie said in a statement.

“Congress never passed a law requiring masks on commercial flights. This lawsuit targets the faceless bureaucrats who are behind the CDC’s unscientific regulation so that this illegal mask mandate can be brought to a permanent end,” he added.

The lawsuit includes two primary claims, according to Massie’s statement. “First, none of the statutes or regulations cited by the CDC for the authority to mandate that individuals wear masks on commercial airlines, conveyances, and at transportation hubs, permit the CDC to implement or enforce this mandate.

In addition, “even if Congress had granted the CDC the authority to promulgate the mask mandate, the granting of this authority would violate a principle known as the ‘non-delegation doctrine.‘”
