Fox News host Dana Perino has questioned why Vice President Kamala Harris has not responded to sexual harassment accusations against New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
“You keep hearing people say, ‘If one more woman comes out, he will have to resign.’ Now there’s multiple and it’s still not happening,” Perino said. “Where is the vice president on this?”
Cuomo already faces sexual harassment allegations from five women. Ana Liss, a former Cuomo aide, became the fifth woman to report allegations in a Saturday article in The Wall Street Journal.
Liss alleged Cuomo had touched her lower back, kissed her, and inquired about her relationship status. “It’s not appropriate, really, in any setting,” she noted.
Liss stated she did not file a formal report. She later requested a transfer to a later office to separate herself from Cuomo.
Cuomo recently apologized for actions that may have been misinterpreted. However, the governor has repeatedly stated he refuses to resign.
The allegations add to attacks on the governor regarding alleged underreporting of nursing home deaths from COVID-19. He also required some nursing home facilities to accept patients who had tested positive for the virus.
Dagen McDowell, Dana Perino’s co-host, stated, “He had a hand in killing 15,000 elderly New Yorkers. He lied about it and covered it up.” She added, “He lied to the federal government. That is — that might be the tipping point for him. But Cuomos get away with everything because they were born and raised in power and privilege.”
The vice president had no problem speaking out regarding sexual harassment allegations against then-U.S. Supreme Court candidate Brett Kavanaugh during his nomination hearing. Her silence regarding a leader in her own party has led many to accuse Harris of a double standard.
Perino has predicted President Joe Biden or Vice President Harris will eventually call Cuomo to advise him not to seek reelection in 2022. But Harris may not be able to wait until next year as tensions rise with expectation of a swift response.
Harris may claim to represent the rights of women, but her silence in Cuomo’s case is deafening. If Cuomo was a Republican governor, the vice president would have certainly spoken out against him long ago.
Instead, Harris and other Democrats continue to stand behind their party’s corrupt leader, even through their silence. Those on the left have also noticed the bias, leading other female Democrat leaders to speak out in place of Harris.
New York Congresswomen Kathleen Rice, a Democrat, has called for the governor to resign, alongside New York Republican leaders. Where is Harris? Where is Biden? Where are the other “woke” leftist leaders who claim to stand for the rights of women?
It appears Democrats are mostly backpedaling, hoping for Cuomo to sink or swim on his own. Harris knows if she gets involved, there is little chance of avoiding negative associations with the governor. Biden certainly doesn’t want to speak, as any mention would bring back his own allegations of woman-sniffing.
The left has a major sexual harassment scandal on its hands. If Harris won’t address it, we’re unlikely to see any major response from Democrats, leaving another political disaster for conservatives to solve.
Harris also didn’t comment when Biden was accused of the same actions against a staff member, which also seems to have been swept under the rug and forgotten about, the harassment charges also take the heat off Coumo concerning the COVID 19 coverup
What else can you expect from an amoral woman that has slept her way to where she’s at now,Kamala is just a regular Demonrat hypocrite.
