Keith Ellison VS Steve Bannon: A Media Bias Expose

When the story hit the airwaves that President-elect Donald Trump had appointed Stephen K. Bannon to the position of chief White House strategist- virtually without delay- the media set upon Bannon with an unrelenting barrage of personal insults. They called Bannon a white nationalist, a bigot, a homophobe, a misogynist, a fascist, and a racist in their efforts to force Trump to go back on the appointment of Bannon to his Cabinet.

In other words, they do what they always do when they don’t have an argument, they hurl insults and try to gum up the works with conversation stopping rhetoric designed to shame their opponents.

However, predictably, when pro-Sharia Muslim Congressman Keith Ellison was offered an opportunity to become the new head of the DNC, the same media that called Bannon every name in their acidic playbook entirely ignored Ellison’s radical Islamic and anti-Semitic statements.

By now, it is clear and common knowledge that mainstream tenets of the Islamic faith call for the brutal murder of homosexuals, the full and complete subjugation of women, and the forcible rape of children.

It promotes the idea that men are subject to uncontrollable sexual drives and once aroused- whatever they do is the fault of whoever caused the arousal. That is why women are beaten and executed for the crime of being raped in heavily Islamic countries- it is a provision of Sharia Law.

Worse, Islam also calls for unmitigated war against Jews, Christians, and non-believers.

According to The Jewish Virtual Library, the Koran teaches violence against non-Muslims, giving special attention to Jewish people.

[4.161] “And their taking usury though indeed they were forbidden it and their devouring the property of people falsely, and We have prepared for the unbelievers from among them a painful chastisement.

[17.4] “And We had made known to the children of Israel in the Book: Most certainly you will make mischief in the land twice, and most certainly you will behave insolently with great insolence.”

[62.6] “Say: O you who are Jews, if you think that you are the favorites of Allah to the exclusion of other people, then invoke death If you are truthful.

What’s more, it is patently not racist to assert these facts. It is not racist because Islam is not a race. It has nothing to do with the genetics or the biology of those who adhere to it. Islam is a collection of ideas- and the reason we have free speech is to discuss ideas- to hash out their merits and their demerits.

But democratic liberals do not want a free and open discussion. That is why they use PC authoritarianism, and insults- and that is a complete explanation for the controversy surrounding Steve Bannon.

Even so, just as many Christians and Jews follow their faiths while disregarding the dangerous rhetoric in their holy books, so do some believers of Islam follow their faith peacefully. Keith Ellison, however, does not appear to be one of them, as he has made several blatantly anti-Semitic statements.

ABC, CBS, and NBC all spewed unsubstantiated claims of racism against Bannon, spending precisely 41 minutes covering Trump announcing Bannon’s new spot in his White House cabinet.

73% of the coverage they gave on the event was negative. The only positive comments made about the new Trump Administration chief strategist were reports about comments made by other Trump officials.

Bannon was called every imaginable name, based entirely on innuendo. No real proof has ever been offered, but the lack of evidence of bigotry did not affect the big three networks from laying all manner of accusations at Bannon’s feet.

Conversely, their coverage of Representative Keith Ellison has been very sparse indeed, in spite of the fact that he has been promoted as a possible replacement for the disgraced interim head of the DNC Donna Brazile.

They could have, for example, mentioned the fact that, in 1997, Ellison appeared under the alias “Keith Ellison-Muhammad” at the Minnesota Initiative Against Racism to support Joanne Jackson. He defended Jackson’s claim that, “Jews are the most racist white people.”

Nevertheless, the major networks only gave Ellison two minutes and nine seconds of their attention, according to reports. And zero of that coverage was negative.

The networks conveniently ignored Ellison’s extolment of the stridently anti-Semitic Louis Farrakhan, and Farrakhan’s demands that the government set aside a reservation for black Americans, which he calls, new black “homeland.”

The disparity couldn’t be clearer. While the media apologizes for faulty reporting leading up to Trump’s victory- they appear to have fallen back into their old ways, proving old habits- do indeed- die hard.
