Ketanji Brown Jackson Called Out About Her Involvement With School Board That Pushed CRT and Adult Sexual Content to Students During Confirmation Hearing

During the on-going Confirmation Hearing for Biden’s Supreme Court pick, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson –  Republican Senators, on the Senate Judiciary Committee, questioned the part that Jackson plays in getting adult content and critical race theory into schools.

Judge Jackson is a Board of Trustees of Georgetown Day School, a private PreK-12 school and the curriculum at this school, includes critical race theory, left-wing activism and adult sexual content.

“Everyone will engage in the work of social justice within all aspects of school life,” is part of the critical race theory that is being taught at the Washington DC private school.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) asked about Judge Jackson being on the Board during the confirmation hearings, to which Judge Jackson stated she had no “control” over curriculum taught at the school as a trustee.

Sen. Cruz asked Jackson if critical race theory was taught across the U.S, Jackson answered:

“Senator, I don’t know. I don’t think so. I believe it’s an academic theory that’s at the law school level.”

Jackson added that, she wasn’t aware whether or not critical race theory was being taught at Georgetown Say School, “because the board is not, the board does not control the curriculum, the board does not focus on that, that’s not what we do as board members so I’m actually not sure.”

There was, however, evidence that this is exactly what is being taught. Sen. Cruz presented evidence of materials provided on the school’s “Family and Educator Anti-Racist Resources” list.

Some of the material recommended are “Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You” by Jason Reynolds and a book that asks, “Can we send white people back to Europe?” by Ibram X. Kendi.

Included in a list if further reading they provide for children, are “picture books for young activists,” “31 Children’s books to support conversations on race, racism, and resistance,” and 75 Things White People Can Do for Racial Justice by Corinne Shutack.

In a statement to Breitbart News, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) said that critical race theory “is a toxic ideology that has no place in schools” and that “Judge Jackson needs to answer questions about what she knew and when she knew it” regarding her role as a trustee.

Breitbart News also interviewed Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) who said that she finds Jackson’s comments on Pre K–12 education “deeply concerning.”

“At a time when parental rights are under assault by the radical left, Judge Jackson’s public comments about ‘the transformative power of progressive education’ are deeply concerning,” Blackburn said.

“Judge Jackson’s public endorsement of this kind of progressive indoctrination of our children causes me great concern when it comes to how she might rule in cases involving parental rights.”

Breitbart News, had previously reported that despite Jackson saying that she has no control over the curriculum at Georgetown Day School – the Board of Trustees do, in fact, set the curriculum for the school.

Georgetown Day School is also exposing their students to adult sexual content.

The school recently put on a German play “Spring Awakening,” written in 1906, that was sexually explicit.

The play was a musical and included songs called “Touch Me,” “The Word of Your Body,” “Totally Fucked,” and “The Bitch of Living.”

Georgetown Day School High School Performing Arts Department chair Laura Rosberg, said the play “is not only about sexual awakening, but perhaps more so about self-discovery,” adding, “I’ve enjoyed the irony of a story about intimacy at a time when kids can’t be intimate.”

Some students and staff had “reservations” about doing the play and one of the actresses, who is a junior, said:

“Being more exposed and immersed in what we were doing, I got a little bit desensitized,” adding, “But the subject matter is still very heavy.”

Judge Jackson needs 50 votes to secure her seat on the Supreme Court, with VP Kamala Harris having the tie-breaker vote.

There are several in the Senate who are considered swing voters and the Republicans will need all of the Republicans on board and a few Democrats, like Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) if they want to keep Jackson off the highest court in the land.
