North Carolina ‘Reparations’ Vote Already Covered by Trump’s Policies

Democrat strongholds recently devised a new scam to persuade African-American voters that electing them in the fall will prove beneficial. But the critical fact behind their phony “Reparations” movement is that it repackages resources the Trump Administration already put in place for primarily Black communities. In liberals bastions such as Asheville, N.C., and Providence, R.I., city officials are running a shell game on African-Americans.

The Asheville City Council passed the Resolution Supporting Community Reparations for Black Asheville in a 7-0 vote. The measure reportedly seeks to deliver tangible benefits that offset “racist practices in the private realty market” as well as “discriminatory” wages, access to health care and policing.

“Hundreds of years of black blood spilled that basically fills the cup we drink from today,” council member Keith Young said. “It is simply not enough to remove statutes. Black people in this country are dealing with issues that are systemic in nature.”

But what has some conservatives scratching their heads is that the details of the Asheville proposal seem eerily familiar. The proposal outlines many of the same initiatives that President Donald Trump swiftly put into place for minority and low-income neighborhoods after the 2016 election.

“The report and the resulting budgetary and programmatic priorities may include but not be limited to increasing minority homeownership and access to other affordable housing, increasing minority business ownership, and career opportunities, strategies to grow equity and generational wealth, closing the gaps in health care, education, employment and pay, neighborhood safety and fairness within criminal justice,” the resolution states.

All of these so-called “progressive” ideas are squarely covered under the president’s America First policies that already delivered funding under the “Opportunity Zones” sections of the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act of 2017 and FIRST Step Act, among others. A White House statement outlines how these fake reparations have already been funded as an equal opportunity driver.

  • Upwards of 8,764 communities across the country have been designated as Opportunity Zones.
  • Opportunity Zones are expected to spur $100 billion in long-term private capital investment in economically distressed communities across the country.
  • The FIRST Step Act reformed sentencing laws that disproportionately harmed African Americans.
  • President Trump signed legislation increasing Federal funding to HBCU programs by more than 14 percent.
  • The President signed funding legislation in September 2018 that increased funding for school choice by $42 million.

In the first three years of the Trump Administration, African-American unemployment and poverty rates fell to the lowest levels in history. Wages increased due to the White House reducing illegal immigrants who steal blue-collar jobs. The Trump Administration has strongly supported increased low-interest loan access in minority and low-income communities to help create generational prosperity through business ownership. In other words, tangible long-term solutions that deliver equal opportunity to all Americans.

In Providence, liberal Mayor Jorge Elorza parrots the same false narratives that are yet another con-job on Black Americans.

“What we’re doing here together is truly something historic,” Mayor Elorza reportedly said. “But most importantly, it comes directly from the voice of our Black community.”

Even in tiny Rhode Island, thought leaders such as Harvard-educated founder and CEO of the Rhode Island Center for Freedom and Prosperity, Mike Stenhouse, reject the mayor’s scheme and call for long-term solutions that stop “forcing (minority) children to attend failed schools … by enacting policies that make it easy to become dependent on the government.”

The Trump Administration already laid the groundwork to build equal prosperity and tremendous gains were achieved before the pandemic upended the nation. All Democrats have to do is point to the hard data, equitable funding in place, and support economic growth rather than hold cancel culture riots.

  1. I FULLY AGREE THAT TRUMP HAS DONE MORE FOR THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY THAN ANYONE ELSE,HOWEVER I REALIZE WHAT THE DEMONRATS DO WHICH IS THAT MOST OF THEM UNDERSTAND,NOT PROGRAMS ,BUT CASH IN THEIR HANDS,THEY WANT A HUGE REPARATION CHECK WHICH THEY WILL BLOW AND BE RIGHT BACK WHERE THEY STARTED. THE BS ON THE LEFT IS SO SAD,ITS PATHETIC. DO ONLY WAY DEMS CAN WIN IS THROUGH FREEBIES,AND KEEPING PEOPLE IN THE DEPENDENCY PLANTATION,UNEDUCATED,INDOCTRINATED AND LISTENING TO CONTINUAL FAKE NEWS. THEY DONT WANT THEIR VOTERS TO LEARN THE TRUTH,THEY REPEAT LIES ENOUGH AND AS J.GOEEBELS SAID,THEY WILL STARET TO BELIEVE THE LIES.

  2. why do people think that blacks were the only ones discriminated against? we had as many Irish Welsh and Scot slaves as blacks. Indians were also used as slaves along with asian. America has spent over three hundred billion to help the black man. special schools, work programs, food and housing, medical aid including abortions, which I object to. special allowances to get into colleges and then drop out because they cant read or do math. but lets look at who runs these programs. mostly by democrats that funnel money to programs that dont deliver. America never hears of it because these people dont have a voice. we have no accounting of where the money goes. I saw the programs in michigan that were government funded. they enrolled the students and made sure they got to class for the first three weeks. then most dropped out but the program got the money anyway. they used teachers that were fired from schools that couldn’t get jobs in a regular school. the books and supplies that were to be provided never came. it starts with corrupt politicians and providing funds approved by congress. the problems come when we have no accountability or checking for nepotism that lines the pockets of the family members. we are being robbed by using BLM and the crisis they cause to hand out more funding that never gets to the people in need.————Grampa

  3. We need to balance and equalize all things. Why should white children for instance have to attend failing schools?
This preferential treatment is based at taking away from whites . This discrimination has been ongoing since the sixties.
I grew up in poverty and the only person that changed my life was me and not some government agency. Quit your bellyaching and apply yourselves.

  4. Time for the blacks to get the hell over the “you owe me ” BS.
No one owes you chit…!!! Get off your lazy black azzes and get a f*cking job. And as far as blm goes, go f*ck yourselves. Americans are getting tired of your whining and destruction and WE Americans are going to put you in your place, in hell where you belong.

  5. What about those who enslaved you before whitey? I don’t see you demanding money from Africa. The only reform we need is term limits..isn’t that right Uncle Joe? 50 yrs a politician…which is why all these political hacks on both sides hate Trump.

  6. They refuse to admit or accept what Trump has done for this nation.

They also refuse to admit or accept that a large majority of Blacks living in this nation are not descendants of slaves brought here between 1776 and 1865 but rather are from immigrants that lawfully came to this nation long after slavery was abolished.

They also refuse to admit or accept the fact that in the times when slavery was allowed there was in fact BLACK slave owners and NON BLACK slaves. The meticulous ownership records kept at slave auctions held during that time make this a clear fact.

Liberals screaming to pay reparations literally threw a fit when someone actually brought up the fact that some NATIVE AMERICANS had been held as slaves and asked if the reparations would include their descendants as well.

  7. Blacks already got more than they deserve. All the free stuff looted and damages done to buildings and troubles they caused! I Don’t know anyone who killed or maimed a black anyway. But I do know many who have been attacked by blacks!!. I am one of them! Several times!! 95% or more of attacks on blacks is black on black! Enough of the B.S. and lies!

  8. Just WOW!! This nations school system and politicians drunk on $$ and power have soooo let this great country and it’s people down. Time for a revolution up in this bitch!! I am a Irish American who’s ancestors arrived in this country at beginning of Civil war. My great ,great Grandfather promptly joined the union forces to help free an oppressed people loosing his life in battle. His wife being a widow in circa 1865 and Irish in US was difficult and my family will never know how our fortunes would be if he had not paid the ultimate sacrifice on the alter of freedom for the ” African American ” people. Yet I have never been thanked, I am lumped in to a white racist group by African American’s ( Isn’t that racist? ). and now I have to Pay AGAIN?? WTF? Get a job!! I am certain if their ancestors or MLK could witness what their people have devolved to they would be ashamed. And shame on our politicians for taking advantage to advance their own lust !!!!!
