The days of being above the law for several Obama-era cronies appear to be numbered as the impartial Inspector General Michael Horowitz closes in on criminal referrals.
Now under fire, three may be ready to turn state’s evidence to avoid prosecution. That’s because lying to federal investigators carries a 5-year sentence, and illegally leaking documents calls for 10 years behind bars.
The recent bombshell report detailed an anti-Trump sentiment at the FBI and other agencies led by Obama cronies that borders on treason. Disgraced ex-FBI Director James Comey has been embraced by the fake news media while touting his book A Higher Loyalty. In stark contrast, the IG reports points to a biased, self-righteous civil servant who made up his own rules and may have broken the very laws he swore to uphold.
FBI Agent Peter Strzok, caught in an illicit adulterous affair with co-worker Lisa Page, has been physically escorted from the Federal Bureau of Investigation headquarters. The liberal Democrat has been suspended from duty and is currently under criminal investigation.
In the eye of this storm, fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe has reportedly come under fire for lying to investigators and illegally leaking documents. McCabe’s wife took upwards of $700,000 from a Hillary resource, and the now-ousted FBI official did not see that as a reason to recuse himself from the Clinton Email Scandal investigation.
McCabe was at the eye of a storm that broke the rules to help Hillary’s bid to reach the White House and “stop” Trump.
The criminal charade is playing out like an old Mafia movie where the Good Fellas all rat each other out and enter witness protection in the end.
Andrew McCabe Seeks Immunity
When people ask for immunity to testify, that generally means they have something to hide. If someone did nothing criminally wrong, there’s simply no reason to ask for immunity.
In early June, fired FBI official Andrew McCabe asked Congress for immunity to testify about the Clinton Email Investigation.
“Under the terms of such a grant of use immunity, no testimony or other information provided by Mr. McCabe could be used against him in a criminal case,” McCabe’s lawyer Michael Bromwich requested of Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley. “If this Committee is unwilling or unable to obtain such an order, then Mr. McCabe will have no choice but to invoke his Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination.”
That was before the recent IG exploded any chance of McCabe squirming his way out of facing a criminal investigation.
McCabe is currently under investigation for his role in handling the Clinton investigation. He has been accused of illegally making an unauthorized information leak to the Wall Street Journal during the run-up to the 2016 election and misleading investigators about it later. He also reportedly leaked the Comey memos.
In effect, should the Department of Justice decide to float McCabe immunity, it would in all likelihood be to secure indictments against his superior, James Comey, and others close to the investigation and Russia Probe. McCabe continues to claim he is a patsy.
Comey To Turn On McCabe?
While stumping his book, Comey confirmed that he expected to be called as a witness against the embroiled McCabe. That also was before the IG report nuked the little remaining credibility of the disgraced former G-Man.
While the report widely cites Comey as an insubordinate who made up his own rules, two trails may lead to criminal prosecution.
The first, as Obama-era cronies routinely did, Comey leaked information to the media that may rise to the level of criminal prosecution. Classified information must lawfully not be disclosed, and the IG is expected to make a referral in the near future.
The more disturbing investigation is the trail used to secure FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign. It has come to light that the “Dodgy Dossier” knowingly funded by the Clinton campaign was used to mislead a federal judge.
Comey, like a rat in a gangster flick, appears ready to flip on McCabe and others. But, the question remains — how high does the trail lead? As text messages between Strzok and his lover Page appear to indicate, the Obama White House was running the investigation.
Strzok Could Fall or Flip First
Strzok appears to be caught red handed in his text messages. His mishandling of the Clinton investigation and heavy-handedness against now-Pres. Trump indicate an inherent bias. That bias could form the basis for “intent” behind his role in things like the improper FISA warrants against the Trump Campaign.
But like McCabe and Comey, it would not be inconceivable for Strzok — already a national disgrace — to flip on his former bosses. This could go all the way to the top. As Strzok said in his text messages with Page, Obama wanted “to know everything we’re doing.”
Like many criminal conspirators, Obama’s mob-like underlings are ready to rat each other out to avoid jail time. The clock is ticking on these three Obama cronies, and it could also be ticking on Hillary, Loretta Lynch and even the ex-president himself. There’s no honor among thieves.

Evidence is what the IG has or the possible prosecution would not happen nor the report. Flipping or immunity or taking the fitth is really of no consequence unless the prosecution if after the bigger fish. And that is what Bozo and his handlers should be concerned about. But JAIL time is likely imminent for all three and the choices for all are very very limited and likely highly time sensitive. McCabe jumped right on it, must be much smarter than the other two.

As a retired mid-level civil service professional employee, I am sick to my stomach about the conduct of a few employees of the FBI & DOJ. President Trump won the election and. like it or not, it was incumbent on all civil service employees to recognize this and do their jobs. Somehow this principle got changed and some civil service employees believed that it was their duty and right to try and change the will of the people to correct the mistake made by electing Trump as president.
I think that their efforts reflected a true belief that the country would be better served with Clinton as President. Any potential benefit to them personally would be minor, a thank you, a handshake, possible promotion or bonus, etc.
What they failed to recognize is that we live under a democratic government and civil servants are the employees of the elected President and they do not have the option to try and change that fact.
