Democrat mayors embraced violent protests right up until the moment they marched into their neighborhoods.
The threat of looting, arson, and murder seems less appealing when it is not inflicted on hard-working small business owners and residents who don’t vote for liberals. The mayors of Chicago and Seattle, who openly supported the falsely reported “peaceful protests,” promptly nixed the First Amendment.
In Chicago, looters pillaged high-end retail outlets and luxury stores in what appeared to be an orchestrated mass burglary. The incident garnered headlines such as “Mayhem at the Magnificent Mile” but little was done to curb rioting, arson, robbery, and shootings.
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot experienced a sudden change of heart when her beloved peaceful protestors infiltrated her neighborhood. Once a mob marched through the street in front of her house, she reached deep into local ordinances and relied upon a law that bans protests.
“I think that residents of this city, understanding the nature of the threats that we are receiving on a daily basis, on a daily basis, understand I have a right to make sure that my home is secure,” Mayor Lightfoot said. “The (police) deployments that are there are there when they are necessary.”
The good people of Chicago may be pleased to know that Mayor Lightfoot is not banning protests throughout the city — only in her neighborhood. Rioters are still free to assemble, burn, rob, and murder everywhere else. The month of July plagued residents with the highest number of Chicago shootings and murders in 28 years. More than 100 people were killed during the month and nearly 600 wounded.
Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan made national headlines calling the Antifa takeover of police precincts a “block party.” She ordered police to stand down and allow rioters to seize control of neighborhoods. A 16-year-old boy was shot to death in the street as responding police were prevented access when faced with armed protestors. He bled to death and was eventually driven by residents to a medical facility in the back of a truck.
The pleas of former Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best to restore order fell on deaf ears. Assault, sexual misconduct, strong-armed robbery, and other crimes were rampant as Mayor Durkan encouraged mobs to overrun law enforcement. That all changed when an angry mob arrived on Mayor Durkan’s front lawn.
Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant marched with a crowd from the seized city blocks to the mayor’s home. Until then, the mayor had ironically kept her address secret from “peaceful protestors.”
“Mayor Durkan and her family are in the state program to keep their address confidential because of the death threats mostly related to her work as Seattle’s U.S. Attorney under President Obama,” her spokesperson reportedly said. “Tonight, (Sawant) did so without regard for the safety of the Mayor and her family. The Mayor was not even home.”
After the march on Mayor Durkan’s home, she promptly ordered police to retake Antifa-controlled sections of the city. Suddenly, it no longer resembled a block party.

That is some real forward thinking to encourage this trash to destroy your town and not think it will ooze down your street. Most normal people just want to be left alone to enjoy the short time on earth we have. Having this nonsense shoved down our throats does not sit well and will draw us out to deal with it.
All this just shows the low-down ways of democrats, they have No excuse for their actions.
A health dose of reality that the “little people” endure does help sometimes when the elites share the blessings of Democratic democracy.

Of course they don’t want riots in THEIR neighborhoods! Nobody wants riots in their neighborhoods but democrats are only too interested in their backyards. One mayor has 100 police guarding her house – hey what about my house? This is the democratic way – hooray for me and to h*** with you. Not one, not two, but three riots. But hey I can sleep at night knowing the boys in blue are on the job. Why should my tax dollar protect the mayor when you don’t give a da** about the people? The democrats really don’t have the heart beat of the people. The politicians haven’t looked out their windows for a very LONG time. I am a veteran and I stand for the flag. I recite the pledge of allegiance as it is meant to be recited and I see no reason to change it. You can not change history – you can only study it and learn to not make the same mistakes again. Nero fiddled while Rome burned.
I hope some of them get shot or worse.
The democrat run cities with their defund police councilmen will finally get their own comeuppance when these very same rioters violate their businesses their homes their neighborhoods … and mark my word it won’t be long before it happens …but the brain dead democrat and the demonic controlled democratic party will reap its reward come November 2020.
