When debating the topic of climate change, leftists really like to assume an overwhelming consensus has already been reached — that climate change is real, and that is entirely man-made.
This post isn’t to prove or disprove the reality of climate change — we’ll save that for another time. Instead, we’re going to look at one of the specific things leftists say cause climate change. And no, we’re not talking about gas-guzzling vehicles or certain deodorants — we’re talking about the fact that humanity exists in the first place.
That’s right — one of the left’s talking points for this is the idea that overpopulation has changed the entire course of the weather for generations to come. Like many other theories from left-wing circles, this is often just accepted by academia without much critical thought.

Considering the two sides to the global warming theories the matter is not definitively settled at present. The most appropriate position remains a cautious skepticism of the data until more definitive proof is elucidated. Unfortunately this problem has become a political issue which makes it difficult to separate truth from hype and personal gain.
Global warming (a) is not climate change and vice versa, and (b) is a theory looking for data. Thus, if this were not dangerously political from its invention, there are no two sides, there’s just an assertion, and laughter.
Centuries ago, native humans witnessed so called “tar pits” everywhere (an environ-mental (pun intended) event with global problems. They used the substance for all sorts of reasons; for cooking, sealing wooden boats/ships, lubricating wheels, …. Then in the mid 1800s US of A, someone decided to try to harvest the goop for commercial uses. In the late 1800s a hole (well) was poked into the Earths surface to try to capture larger quantizes of this mysterious substance. Soon after, technology began to develop useable products (oil to burn in household lamps, gas to burn in street lighting, fuel for IC engines, to power steam turbines for electricity, …. ). Today, there are thousands of products made from this mysterious substance.
So, it appears to me that we have cured Mother Earth from the nasty tar pits.
If every person in the world lived in a 33 ft square room, the world would fit in the state of Texas.
The problem is not of resource, it’s distribution.

We have been getting warnings from the “scammers” (yes, it is a scam!) for decades, and I can’t think of one that proved to be true. It is also true, that they have been found manipulating the “data” upon which they base their “projections.” And, they lie about how many “scientists” support their position, e.g. “97% of scientists.”
Examples of effort to stampede the populace into embracing their position:
“Polar bears are being obliterated.”
“The glaciers in Asia are melting which will cause millions to die.”
The fact is that most scientists are of the opinion that anthropogenic (man caused) climate change is UNPROVEN. They are also of the opinion that if man’s activities are affecting the climate, the effect is minimal, on the order of 1%-2%.
Let’s look at a littler perspective:
The earth has been in existence for 4.5 to 4.8 billion years, it is currently estimated, and, in the past, changes in estimates have tended to get greater.
Man has inhabited Earth for approximately 100,000 years. If the earth’s existence were a 24-hour day, man has been around for about 4 seconds.
The technology to quantify temperature came into existence in approximately 1714, and probably did not become common for a considerable length of time.
The ability to measure temperature on a wide-scale basis did not happen until satellites came into existence, and their is evidence that the scammers have manipulated their reported results.
Indeed, the basis for the whole anthropogenic climate change hoax is based on ice cores from Greenland and Antarctica, and those cores were cherry-picked. In short, the whole scam has been very unscientific.
It is reasonable to assume that other factors, such as the earth’s relationship with the sun which is not static and the incredible and unmeasured volcanic activity at the bottom of oceans and numerous thing in between, can affect climate.
It is not unreasonable to assume that during the earth’s long existence, climate has changed numerous times. It has, in fact, changed several times during recorded history, e.g., England was once a wine-growing region, Greenland once warranted the name, etc. A program called “Aerial America,” produced by the Smithsonian, has documented the fact that Florida was, at one time, only a tiny island. At another time, it was several times larger than it is today.
Weather changes. But “Mother Nature” is far more responsible for that change than man!
Sorry folks. Climate change is real and we humans are the cause. First of all, we know that of the hottest 18 years on record since the 1880s for the planet, 17 of them have been since 2000. The other year was 1998. The 5 warmest years on earth since the 1880s have occurred since 2010, and if this year continues as it is, the 4 warmest years would have all happened in the past 4 years. There is also tons of other evidence that our planet is warming. What is causing this warming? CO2 levels before the Industrial Revolution has been pretty constant at around 280 ppm (parts per million) for at least hundreds of thousands of years, if not millions, according to core samples taken at such places as the Antarctic and Greenland. We have since seen these levels increase to over 410 ppm and rising to record levels every year. This increase is due to the burning of fossil fuels. So, climate change deniers, stop blaming the liberals or media for reporting these facts. Get educated.
Of course the earth has gone through climate change over its 4 plus billion years. No one doubts this. However, the changes we are seeing now is happening on a much more rapid scale. CO2 observations are been taken from the Mauna Loa observatory in Hawaii since the early 1950s. At that time, CO2 levels were around 320 ppm. By the end of the 20th century, levels have increased to around 370 ppm, and last year in May, when the seasonal high normally occurs, the level reached 411 ppm. As late as 2013, no month had an average CO2 level that reached 400 ppm. The last few years, no month now has an average that drops below 400 ppm. The lowest CO2 level normally occurs in September, or perhaps October. The lowest this year was over 405 ppm in September. These record numbers of CO2 is due to the burning of fossil fuels. The statement that “The fact is that most scientists are of the opinion that anthropogenic (man caused) climate change is UNPROVEN” is just not true. Indeed a large majority of scientists, including climatologists do strongly believe humans are the main cause. In addiion, the medieval warming that some people refer to was not evident throughout the whole planet. Other regions were colder, such as the tropical Pacific. Averaged global mean temperatures have been calculated to be similar to early-mid 20th century warming. Possible causes of the Medieval Warm Period include increased solar activity, decreased volcanic activity, and changes to ocean circulation.
Mr. Berkovitz, do you realize how stupid that sounds? Climate change has been happening for over 4 billion years, yet one observatory has measured CO2 for about 60 years and found an increase.

The simple answer as to whether CO2 has anything to do with climate change, all one needs to know is found in two FACTS (undisputable); 1) CO2 represents about 0.2% of the earth’s atmosphere…a trace element, and it is a very small (3-component) molecule having little mass making it a poor retainer of energy (heat), and 2) The Laws of Thermodynamics do not permit a cooler body (atmosphere) to radiate heat back toward a warmer bidy (the earth). Oh, yeah, a greenhouse has to have a roof before it can trap heat. Ultraviolet heat from the sun passes through glass but the reflected Infrared heat cannot penetrate the glass to get out. That’s how a greenhouse works. There is no “glass dome” over the earth, Reflected heat passes out of the earth’s atmosphere without anything getting in the way (traveling naturally from the warmer to the cooler area (space). Climate change is a political agenda to force re-distribution of wealth from rich countries to poorer countries and their corrupt leaders who manipulate the UN to gain power and money. Read the UN Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030 documents on thier website. They admit it openly. They also suggest that private property rights must be eliminated in order to achieve social justice around the world. All land must be owned (presumably by the government) for the betterment of all of society. What a farse.

This “professor” debunked nothing. He really didn’t even address the issue of man-made climate change, or any other kind of climate change. He discussed trade, innovation, and using things originally located underground. Conservative Zone is looking a bit desperate, using this clip to justify the denial of climate change.
Any measurable rise in global temperature is more than accounted for by the simple fact that many of the stationary weather collection devices were once located in rural areas but are now in more urban settings due to continuing worldwide urban sprawl.
