Far-left Congressman Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) went on a tirade against the Republican party, issuing a list of extreme actions he thinks would happen if the GOP manages to win back the House of Representatives come November.
During an appearance on MSNBC’s “The Cross Connection with Tiffany Cross,” Bowman went on a rage-filled rant.
Cross asked, “I want you to explain, should the GOP retake Congress in the fall, what happens to the Jan. 6 Committee investigation and its findings, and what might the GOP do or not do with the newly claimed power?”
“So the January 6 commission would cease to exist,” Bowman predicted, adding, “the findings will be completely suppressed and will not be admitted into any further investigations while the GOP will be in power.”
“They would impeach President Biden as quickly as possible, and they will continue to find ways to impeach him going forward,” he predicted, refusing to acknowledge that Biden’s historically low approval rating probably warrants a removal from office anyways.
Then Bowman really went crazy with his claims, “It would also embolden Republicans and the far-right and White nationalists across the country to begin to believe that it is their time to not just take power in the House, but the Senate, the White House, and state houses across the country. And we gotta understand that this is a group that has been radicalized by the Great Replacement myth and many other things and have been pushing for violence and pushing for even civil war.”
“So that is what’s at stake right now in terms of this election. Our democracy is hanging by a thread, and black and brown people — our lives are in the balance if these people come back into power,” he concluded.
Bowman’s words are a clear rallying cry attempting to rile up the radical left-wing base that supports him which is a dangerous move by the elected official.
Bowman, who is a member of the progressive “Squad,” requested a special police detail to protect his home – despite his calls to defund the police – in late January 2021.
“About a week after the Jan. 6th incident at the Capitol, we received a request from the Congressman’s office for increased police presence at his residence,” Yonkers Police Department Detective Lt. Dean Politopoulos told the New York Post.
“In response, our Intelligence Unit was notified of the request and the local precinct instituted what is called a directed patrol at the Congressman’s home for the next two weeks.”
Politopoulos reportedly said that nothing unusual had been detected in Bowman’s neighborhood for years according to the Daily Wire.
The report noted that the day after the January 6 riot, Bowman told a radio host that he had been “safe pretty much throughout the event.”
A spokeswoman for Bowman claimed that the police were called because Bowman “received threats,” although she did not elaborate on the “threats,” and she reportedly avoided questions about Bowman’s hypocrisy given his support for defunding the police.
