Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced last Wednesday that he is running for president in 2024, as if all of us didn’t already know that. On the same day, a flurry of news stories hit my inbox about the looming federal indictment of Donald J. Trump by the hack special counsel Jack Smith.
It is likely not a coincidence that these two things happened on the same day. The intel agencies are back and are already meddling in the third presidential election in a row—and sadly, it looks like Ron DeSantis is part of this Deep State plot to derail the MAGA movement.
In 2016, the Deep State meddled in the election to stop Donald Trump. “17 intelligence agencies” had reviewed the Russian potty dossier and determined that Trump was a “puppet of Putin.”
In 2020, the Deep State meddled in the election to stop Donald Trump. “51 former intelligence agents” had determined that Hunter Biden’s laptop had “all the hallmarks of Russian disinformation.”
In 2024, Donald Trump is going to be indicted within a few weeks of Ron DeSantis announcing his run to challenge Trump for the GOP nomination. Trump will be indicted for “325 unique documents” at Mar-a-Lago that supposedly put national security at risk. That’s the headline that they’re all going to be spouting on the CIA-run media organs: “325 unique documents.”
I really hope I’m wrong about the whole DeSantis/collusion with the Deep State thing, time will tell of course.
The headlines earlier this week all said that Trump’s attorneys had requested a meeting with Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland, supposedly to discuss Trump’s unfair treatment at the hands of Jack Smith. The meeting was real, but the purpose was probably to discuss what happens when Trump is arrested by the FBI—either next week or the following one.
Last Tuesday, the Wall Street Journal reported this:
“Special counsel Jack Smith has all but finished obtaining testimony and other evidence in his criminal investigation into whether former President Donald Trump mishandled classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort, according to people familiar with the matter. Some of Trump’s close associates are bracing for his indictment.”
It’s coming. In order to generate a false narrative and to try to inflate Ron DeSantis’s flagging poll numbers, they’re going to indict and arrest Donald Trump very soon.
Why do I think that Ron DeSantis is part of this plot? Good question.
DeSantis is polling at 16%. While that’s 3 times as much support as Mike Pence or that kid Vivek have (Vivek is tied with Pence now), it’s not even vaguely close enough to overtake the MAGA movement and the Trump retribution tour that we’re all hoping for. DeSantis knows this, he’s not an idiot. He knows that all of the speculation leading up to his announcement has caused his star to fade with Trump’s massive base.
It would be political suicide for Ron DeSantis to run against Donald Trump, when he could finish out a second successful term as governor of Florida and then run in 2028.
There’s only one reason why Ron DeSantis would jump in the race and challenge President Trump at this point.
He knows. Ron DeSantis knows that Donald Trump is going to be arrested. The reason why he knows is because the team that is trying to take Donald Trump off the board has told him that Trump will be indicted. They may have even told him down to the day, which is why DeSantis is launching his campaign now, to pre-empt Trump’s indictment.
We’ve seen this movie before. Mark Begich was an unknown Democrat mayor of Anchorage, AK back in 2008. He took a mysterious trip to Washington, DC in early spring that year, and then suddenly ran for US Senate against Ted Stevens, the Republican president pro tempore of the Senate. Begich’s campaign was doomed from the start. There was no way he could overtake Ted Stevens—until Robert Mueller arrested Sen. Stevens on completely false charges of bribery. Begich became a one-term Senator, and he gave the Democrats the 51-seat majority they needed to shove Obamacare down America’s throat.
I really hope I’m wrong about DeSantis. I was hoping he and Trump would have a fair primary fight and we would get the best possible candidate out of this. But if DeSantis is part of the plot to keep Trump from running in 2024, he will lose my vote forever.
We will know in a few days. If Trump is indicted next week or so, it means that Ron DeSantis is working with the bad guys.
