Social Media Ready to Meddle in Midterm Elections

Social media and tech giants recently gathered to discuss how best to prevent their platforms from being used to meddle in the upcoming midterm elections. But the facts point to these self-proclaimed “Masters of the Universe” being a far greater threat to election integrity than Russian hackers.

The recent meeting reportedly focused on the spread of “misinformation” on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Snap, and Microsoft among others. Held in San Francisco, Silicon Valley company administrators say they are targeting campaigns aimed at misleading American voters. But the inherent problem is that companies such as Facebook have a troubling record of silencing conservative voices by merely claiming their positions are incorrect.

Recently, Facebook, Twitter and other social media outlets appear to have conspired with the left-wing CNN network to remove content by Alex Jones and Newsmax.

On one hand, Jones has been widely cited as a conspiracy theorist pushing extreme views. On the other hand, Jones holds White House Press Corps credentials and provides day-to-day coverage about the Trump Administration.

The charge to oust Jones was led by CNN, whose on-air celebrities railed against Jones’ presence at White House press conferences. The cable network openly arm-twisted Facebook and other social media companies to ban Jones. They got their way.

What’s particularly troubling is that media outlets such as CNN, The New York Times and other liberal organizations have engaged in fake news campaigns. These and other Democrat-oriented outlets have been forced to make major retractions and routinely claim they have reliable sources that prove false. A neutral bystander would likely say that if Jones’ was fairly banned based on false reporting, so should CNN and The New York Times.

“If you’re going to ban or suspend someone with a right-wing view, are you going to suspend somebody with a left-wing view,” crisis management consultant Eric Dezenhall reportedly said. “I do think there is a lot of concern among conservatives that social media has a left-of-center bias in large measure because of where they are based.”

His remarks came on the heels of the Jones social media ban. And, Facebook has been so overtly biased against conservative viewpoints that CEO Mark Zuckerberg was called to testify before Congress on the issue.

During the questioning, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz cited a litany of instances of conservative speech suppression. The most notable was the banning of Trump Supporters Diamond and Silk as “dangers to the community.” Nothing could be further from the truth.

Zuckerberg admitted under oath that a left-wing bias existed. With that intent in mind and a track record of suppressing Republican and conservative information, the so-called “Masters of the Universe” are rolling up their sleeves to censor whomever they do not like.

The censorship tools at the disposal of far-left Facebook employees are already being put to work to sway midterm voters. The conservative, non-profit organization known as Prager U promotes fact-based feature videos that are designed to engage viewers in an intelligent and educational fashion.

Prager U has been squarely targeted by Facebook as the roll-up to the midterms begins. The group has reportedly suffered a 99.999-percent decline in engagement on Facebook, and its conservative-leaning videos are being banned as “hate speech.”

Republican candidate Elizabeth Heng recently had her advertising campaign pulled by Facebook. Running in liberal California’s 16th Congressional District, the political ads were deemed “too shocking, disrespectful, or sensational” to be viewed on the platform. The allegation was in response to Heng’s factual story about living communist Cambodia that caused her family to flea to the United States. Facebook called Heng’s true-life story “obscene.”

Republican Sen. Shelley Moore Capito expressed strong concern that social media and tech giants will meddle in favor of liberal candidates as the midterm elections near.

“That’s a source of concern for me as a conservative and as a Republican. Absolutely. You can see that in some of the decisions that have been made previously,” West Virginia’s Sen. Capito reportedly said. “Good common-sense judgment here is what we’re looking for, and less political judgments.”

Left-leaning social media and tech outfits have already established a pattern of suppressing conservative viewpoints. The only thing that appears different from the 2016 elections is this time they are organized and more willing to meddle to help liberal candidates.

    1. Dolly — make sure you and everyone you can convince to get out and vote Conservative or repub in the Nov. 2018 elections. We must keep the majority in Congress. Users of facebook(which I am banned from for supporting President Trump), google, twitter and whatever else is out there — need to boycott them. I found out how easy it is to get along without these POS media traps. I have not missed facebook for 1 second. If every Conservative or Repub STOPPED using them, even for just a month, it would hurt these dirtbags to the point of maybe they would get the idea.

      1. It’s pretty simple re; what to do with Fascistbook. Simply use it for games or other enjoyment. Personally, I’ve been boycotting it for months, I don’t enjoy their games. Have an absentee ballot sent to your home and vote Republican, Libertarian or Conservative, they all come out as Republican. Simply do not vote socialist, no country has ever gone socialist and succeeded. If you want asocial media that’s political, go to Gab.ai, I’m there at times. Twatter doesn’t even try to hide its bias, neither does Fascist book or Gorgle

      2. Gerry you are right, we do not need these media traps. We got along without them before and spent time doing better things. Shut down those devices and live the real life instead of staring at a screen. We will be healthier and happier.

  1. I wouldn’t be surprised that, given the on-going comments about McCain/Trump, Hillary will be appointed a replacement for John.

    1. I would be greatly. She committed treason numerous times, “What does it matter now?” When you have a couple of buddies who were killed, it matters.

  2. Then it is time to address the hypocrisy of the social media megalomaniacs. Time to censor them. Time for an audit of their systems including their algorithms for exclusionary actions and censor rules for the crew making those decisions. And perhaps some on going controls of their leftist enthusiasm. IN short, government regulations designed to assure the rights of every individual evenly and fairly removing the personal bias.

  3. demand to clean the whole system up. all voting machinery is too old to trust, close the borders, no to illegals voting, no id no vote, no prior criminal records, clean up polling workers, follow the law, punish, everyone afraid to carry out laws on books, stop corruption, GOP get a back bone for once, enforce for a change what are you afraid of? new machines, registration reform, etc can’t be that difficult. tsa, welfare, social security, etc do it everyday though with faults, not 100% but better than what seems to be a broken system now. just sounds like now no cares.

  4. It Looks like facebook is at it again. They do not want facebook followers to know what they are up to and are blocking every conservitive they posibly can.Just another way the dumb ass communistic democrats are cheating the American people from the truth. As long as the social media is so damn bias against the conservitive people the communist think they have it mad. It is so childish on the part of both the communist democrats and social media. That is ok though, we know God is in charge and the evil practices of the above named will not win in the long run.

  5. Freedom of speech ! It is as simple as that. Once you start deciding that you need to silence someone because of their views you are now on a slippery slope. You may not agree with their views but they have every right to say them. You have every right not to listen.

  6. Yes these liberals will stop at nothing to impose their communist views on the population. That is the way communists always function. CNN – Communist News Network.

  7. This was my message trying to share on facebook by facethugs police “Warning: This Message Contains Blocked Content
Your message couldn’t be sent because it includes content that other people on Facebook have reported as abusive.”
LOL I was there when the Soviets were an empire, and these thugs are just like them!

  8. Don’t ever give up! Don’t ever think your part is unimportant. Every American has a duty to fight for the right to be heard. No tech giant can take that right away from you. Our Founding Fathers made it clear that free speech is protected by the Constitution. These left-winged groups are bankrolled by some of the most undeserving people ever to inherit an ill-gotten fortune but they cannot compete with the Constitution! You can contact the nation’s most powerful key officials at the White House, in Congress and other top policial leaders and show them that there are still many, many Patriotic Americans who want to stop this liberal attack on of Freedom of Speech. Any inaction hurts all future generations.

  9. These people are apparently mentally ill as they have decided to reinvent the meaning of our words, and believe their new definition is true. The idea of THEIR deciding what is and is not true, or is worthy of being on their platform shows just how tyrannical and power mad they have become. Because someone get “offended” they have the right to censor any opposing view ? This is not just unconstitutional but SUPREMELY arrogant. Their concept of having the right to dictate what language can and can’t be used in the public sphere, shows just how pathologically power mad they are. The abject irony of their calling anything fake news is astounding as 90% of what they distribute as news is nothing more than lies based on more lies and false accusations for the sole purpose of political assassination. They are pathological liars who believetheir own lies.

  10. ROFLMAO……”communist views are not liberal views”. Had to laugh. They both lead down the same path…..to theft from hard working tax payers……only difference is the amount and once you give a politician license to do one they’ll push for more until they’re the same. Very few politicians in our history actually cut taxes which they use to steal so they more to waste. Give them an inch and they always take a mile.
