It’s been a long time since we’ve heard from conservative comedian Steven Crowder, but the CRTV host is back with a vengeance…sort of.
After taking a month and some change off for health reasons, the Louder with Crowder production is back up and running. Crowder, perhaps best known for his signature “change my mind” segment — where he challenges the most liberal people he can find to change his mind about hot topic issues — kicked 2019 off strong. This time, the hipster millennials have been challenged to explain why walls are bad.
Now, you might be expecting the people who sit down in front of the host to be the cringe-worthy leftists who like to scream at the sky as some sort of anti-Trump protest. And yes — there’s plenty of that. But, we were pleasantly surprised by how open-minded some of these young people were. A few of them actually get up with their own minds changed — at least a little.
Sure — the need for a wall along the southern border should be obvious. The 700 miles of unprotected border areas have allowed some of the worst kinds of people to slip into the United States, straining law enforcement and other government agencies. But for many, the idea of a physical barrier is simply mean and racist. You’ll be surprised, however, at the number of people who also want to keep the country safe, but for whatever reason are convinced that a wall won’t help.

I do no understand where young people gather their information for their liberal opinions? Well, actually I do. Most college professors are so liberal they stink. My youngest son was brainwashed while he attended college. He was raised in conservative surrounding. But thank God that he came back around after joining the Guard and really seeing how the world is. Today, he is an educator and is also very Conservative in his thinking.
Youth are totally indoctrinated by socialistic, commie wannabe dictators that have duped the educational areas to believe life is a free ride when wealthy pay for their laziness ! Socialism is the 1st step to a dictatorship proven by a world history of tyranny dictated countries and the people trying to escape a dictators wrath ! Youth are deprived of history education about being enslaved by dictators especially WW2 that protected U.S.A.’s Freedom and Rights & gave Liberty to tyranny dictated nations but turned into a dictated nation again by socialistic free loading ways … ! The wall is not being built to keep out foreigners from America, it is to keep all trouble makers from committing crimes against the citizens of the country.
Israel, China, ancient Rome and Ancient Greece, ancient Babylon and Ancient Persia and many other countries had a wall to keep out invading armies and trouble makers from coming in, not to say to outsiders to stay out.
Every neighborhoods in America should have a wall or a strong fence, not to keep people out, it is to protect residence from criminal trouble makers from destroying and illegally entering the community.

The wall would slow down the human trafficking. They also need to change the asylum law that says once they have a foot over the border they can stay. A majority of these people have money or the coyotees would not be in business. These people are being smuggled into this country IE: human trafficking. And all they want is the benefits they can get paid. The American Citizen is the one hurt we can not afford to pay for these people.
There is a way for them to come through the front door legally and every single one that comes illegally harm the legal ones. Plus, have you noticed how a big % of them never learn English. To me a physical wall is antiquated. This is like a rotary phone. Technology has advanced to the point where there are better solutions. Sensors that can alert officials to the exact point where the people are would be better. A drone could be sent to track them, even in the dark. At the same time border police could be dispatched to that location. This would be better than requiring those border police driving along hundreds of miles of wall or fence or even open range. I get that a physical wall looks impressive. So does a WWII battleship. But we won’t use any such ships if there is a next major conflict. Technology has given us better options so lets look at those. Use the new technology in the areas where we already know they are crossing. Then expand the technology as they find new areas to cross.
Sounds great in theory but we have a backlog of 80,000 illegal entry immigration cases that could have been prevented with a wall. The new tech will only work if after 70 years the Congress would finally quit promising and actually work on immigration reform.
I can see high tech security in place of a physical wall. I can see high security using prior military plus a wall. I can see many different methods of border security being used from a menu of lots of options. What I can’t see is having a country by any definition for very much longer, without enforcement of current law. I probably would not be believed if I pointed out that from 1926 to 1964 there was only like 5% immigration. The borders were basically shut down for 40 years so that the people who came here legally could assimilate. I would actually be in favor of completely shutting down the borders for the next 40 years.

I don’t know why everyone doesn’t love my idea for stocking the Rio Grande with piranhas. They are self-sufficient, unlike those crossing the border, and their advocates! Much cheaper than steel and concrete for sure, and would make it more of a challenge for rafters too! It seems like a win win solution and a natural, more eco-friendly, “green” solution!

Sure, it won’t completely stop smuggling of drug, arms etc through your border crossings but it should free up resources so your guards can do a better job to reduce it. And besides, we know some of those drugs, arms, etc are finding their way up here as well. Wouldn’t it be great if our Prime Minister offered a few million to help build it? Not likely that’s going to happen .. since he’s got no balls but in my mind the optics would go a long way to support Trump and America AND prehaps relations between both countries which are a little strained at the moment.
