The Truth About Georgia’s Voter Reform Law

The Democratic Party and progressive partisans in the media are firing on all fronts to misinform Americans about the wave of voter integrity bill sweeping the nation.

Recently, President Joe Biden went as far as to compare these bills to the racist Jim Crow laws of the pre-Civil Rights Act South. Indeed, black Americans at the time were subject to some truly unfair and outright disgusting levels of discrimination. Voters were told that they needed to pay poll taxes, pass literacy tests, and were often harassed by hostile groups at the polling place.

This is a very far cry from simply being required to show some fort of government-approved identification in order to cast a ballot. According to President Biden, however, there is no meaningful difference. The president recently doubled down on this sentiment in an address delivered from Philadelphia.

“[There is] an unfolding assault taking place in America today, an attempt to suppress and subvert the right to vote,” the president said. “We’re facing the most significant test of our democracy since the Civil War. That’s not hyperbole, since the Civil War.”

There is plenty of this high-tier stupidity to go around. Following in the same vein, Vice President Kamala Harris suggested that rural areas of the country don’t have access to copying machines or now-defunct entities like Kinko’s to make copies of official documents. This is patently untrue, but you didn’t see any sort of major pushback from journalists that certainly know better.

At the end of the day, this really shouldn’t be a partisan issue. There is no reason why we can’t boost voter turn out as well as improve election integrity at the same time. Unfortunately, progressives have made this a partisan issue. Now, the very idea of having to prove that you are who you say you are at the polling place is akin to white supremacy according to leftist logic.

So, it’s time to clear things up and get to the facts. Here is PragerU with the truth about the election law that started this entire debate.
