These Are Trump’s Top 3 Economic WINS from 2019

Facing the most vicious political adversity of the modern era, President Donald Trump spent 2019 doing the people’s work and delivering on his Make America Great Again promises.

“We will bring back our jobs. We will bring back our borders. We’ll bring back our wealth, and we will bring back our dreams,” Trump said during his January 2017 inauguration speech.

The president could have taken the easy road and downshifted his initiatives as impeachment-desperate Democrats unleashed relentless witch hunts. It would have been understandable to scale back on, perhaps, the most ambitious political agenda in the country’s history. Step back for a moment and let that sink in: “the most ambitious political agenda in the country’s history.”

To put that claim in perspective, not since the birth of the nation has America’s greatness needed restoring. But massive war debt, economic stagnation, bad trade deals, and the prior administration’s bowing and scraping to less powerful world leaders highlighted a faltering superpower that couldn’t offer good-paying jobs to its citizens, control its own borders, one that slipped back to the number two world economy. President Trump’s America First policies changed everything. In 2019 alone, these are major MAGA wins that have benefited everyday working people.

1: The Jobs Market Went BOOM!

In no uncertain terms, every American is either employed or has the opportunity to secure a job. That’s an incredible statement that may have seemed like science fiction during the economically depressed Obama years. By the end of 2019, the Bureau of Labor and Statistics reported that the number of available jobs had topped 7.3 million. The number of people seeking employment remains under 6 million. Under the Trump Administration’s MAGA policies, active retraining initiatives are aimed at placing Americans in unfilled positions.

In last year’s fourth quarter, there were upwards of 56,000 insurance and finance sector openings, and more than 50,000 in the durable goods manufacturing industry. Since taking office, President Trump’s policies, coupled with strong GOP leadership in Congress, have added more than 6.2 million jobs and approximately 500,000 in the manufacturing sector alone. Obama finished his eight years at minus-200,000.

Under Trump, unemployment stood at 50-year lows in 2019 with African-American and Latino-American unemployment rates at the lowest in history. Poverty rates in 2019 were the lowest in more than a decade, and more than 6 million people were able to get off food stamps. Boom!

2: NATO Allies Paying Their Fair Share

The president has been the target of unrelenting left-leaning media criticism for insisting that other NATO members pay their agreed-upon 2 percent for their own military defense. Liberal elitists such as French President Emanuel Macron were stunned and angry to be outed as deadbeats. Wealthy countries such as France and Germany had been gaming the system for decades, and American taxpayers paid their bill while these so-called “friendly nations” turned around and levied tariffs on U.S. Imports. Although President Trump had to twist some arms, a substantial uptick in NATO countries meeting their obligations occurred in 2019.

“So, I just want to thank these great countries. And they are great. They’ve become friends of mine, in many cases. And they’re very respected within their own countries. But these are countries that have met the goal of 2 percent,” Trump said. “We have, unfortunately, a large number that haven’t met the goal. Some are very close, and they will be. We’ve received an additional $130 billion a year. And, I guess, if you go back three years, it’s perhaps even more than that. But I’ve been doing this for three years.”

By the end of 2019, the United Kingdom, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and Greece had met or surpassed the 2-percent spending threshold. France’s Macron put on a show for the media that he would reject President Trump’s demand. However, France came in just under the fair mark at 1.84 percent, and Turkey improved to 1.89 percent. Every dollar owed that the president secures is one dollar no longer footed by the taxes of American workers.

3: Securing the Future with Improved Trade Deals

One of the more fitting criticisms of the Washington, D.C., swamp is that politicians fail to plan for the future. Policies look more like band-aids on open wounds than savvy business agreements. That all ended when Trump won the historic 2016 election.

Fulfilling his promise to renegotiate the worst trade deal in American history, NAFTA is no more. The White House’s team of sharp economic and business leaders basically ate Canada and Mexico’s lunch. The new USMCA pact is expected to create another 200,000 American jobs and add more than $68 billion to the economy. But the MAGA trade wins went far beyond the campaign promise to redo NAFTA.

The White House reworked the country’s trade position with Japan, and Phase I of a broader deal is expected to yield $7 billion in agricultural exports. Similarly, President Trump tamed the communist dragon that had supplanted the U.S. during the Obama years. The White House roundly beat China in a tariff war that crippled the Asian superpower’s economy. After falling back to the number two economy, once again, China yielded in 2019. Phase I of a new trade agreement is expected to be signed, and it heavily favors American farmers and manufacturers.

In three short years, the United States has been regained its greatness, and 2020 could usher in never seen before prosperity. Now, it’s time to Keep America Great.

  1. While POTUS Trump is “on a roll”, The Democrats are GETTING ROLLED! . . . By their OWN STUPIDITY, with this impeachment SCAM (illegal COUP). And not only THAT, POTUS Trump will get reelected to THEIR detriment AND chagrin, with the potential of facing CHARGES of TREASON and SEDITION, crimes against the POTUS and the American People as per the U.S. Constitution. There is a GREAT possibility that not ONLY will they FACE MANY losses during the upcoming 2020 elections, the Democrats responsible for this illegal COUP (such as Nadler, Schiff and Pelosi) may FACE possible PRISON terms for their TREASONISTIC acts. Just “STAY TUNED!” . . . it should get interesting. Team Trump and his allies 2020.

  2. Marriage is between a man and a woman. The Constitution does not support gay marriage. Supreme Court Justice Roberts said it best “the legalizing gay marriage was not about the Constitution”. The liberals on the court just did it because they wanted to and had nothing to do with the Constitution.

  3. Add the military triumphs of ISIS defeated, al Baghdadi killed & Iran being aggressively confronted with the just execution of Quds general Soleimani behind the long-standing regional terrorism. .

  4. After reading OUR PRESIDENT TRUMPS accomplishments, everyone should realize and understand why we need President in the white house for another 4 years…MY GOD, he makes Obama look like a school kid in first grade. Obama gave this country away, plain and simple. I thank God every day for our President. He needs another 4 years in the white house just to clean up what Obama screwed up.

  5. Lets all gang up on the President and keep him working for us another 4 (four) years!…zzz…her
