Trump Ends Endorsement of Mo Brooks, Brooks Alleged Trump-Planned Coup to Take Back Presidency

The 2020 elections are still happening in its own way, as discrepancies around mail-in ballots, unsecure drop boxes and the like, are still being questioned as to their authenticity.

Tensions between former U.S President Donald Trump and Republican Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama, boiled over on Wednesday, when Trump took back his endorsement of Brooks, after the remarks he made about the 2020 presidential election.

Rep. Brooks, is currently running as a candidate for the Alabama Senate and Brooks claimed that President Trump, requested that Brooks remove Biden from office, hold another election and put Trump back into office.

In a prepared statement, Brooks said he refused to oblige President Trump, apparently letting him know that such actions would be illegal and unconstitutional.

The US Capitol Building saw millions of Trump supporters protesting outside on January 6, the day the 2020 election was being certified. During it turned into an apparent “riot.” According to Brooks, Trump’s proposed “coup” was separate from this incident and Trump wanted to be reinstated as POTUS on September 1, 2021.

Obviously this never happened and the still in question election was certified.

“The only legal way America can prevent 2020′s election debacle is for patriotic Americans to focus on and win the 2022 and 2024 elections so that we have the power to enact laws that give us honest and accurate elections,” Brooks said.

“I’ve told President Trump the truth knowing full well that it might cause President Trump to rescind his endorsement,” he continued. “But I took a sworn oath to defend and protect the U.S. Constitution. I honor my oath. That is the way I am. I break my sworn oath for no man.”

“President Trump asked me to rescind the 2020 elections, immediately remove Joe Biden from the White House, immediately put President Trump back in the White House, and hold a new special election for the presidency,” Brooks said in his statement. “As a lawyer, I’ve repeatedly advised President Trump that January 6 was the final election contest verdict and neither the US Constitution nor the US Code permit what President Trump asks. Period.”

Brooks was, however, one of the 147 Republican lawmakers who voted against certifying the 2020 Election, which saw Joe Biden become the 46th POTUS. Brooks also spoke at the “Stop the Steal” rally, outside the White House on January 6 2021, right before the Capitol Building incident.

Brooks allegedly told Trump that January 6 was the “final contest” and that the results had been certified and Trump would have to let it go.

Trump is yet to respond to Brooks’ allegations and it was unclear as to how exactly Brooks could have removed Biden – there is no precedent or legal justification to implement a special election for a presidency.

Since Trump removed his endorsement of Brooks, Brooks is now falling in the polls and trailing by 16 percent when he was at one stage, a frontrunner.
