President Joe Biden’s first week included a 100-day deportation ban promptly paused by a lawsuit from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. This week, the Trump-appointed judge extended the suspension, allowing those preparing the case until February 23 due to “the irreparable harm that would accrue to Texas if an extension” was not given.
The move comes just days after Paxton shared an interview on Fox News, stating that President Biden is out of control and overstepping his constitutional authority through executive orders. When the executive order was first blocked, Paxton shared in a statement, “Our state defends the largest section of the southern border in the nation. Failure to properly enforce the law will directly and immediately endanger our citizens and law enforcement personnel.”
Between Biden’s deportation freeze and the reintroduction of the catastrophic Obama catch-and-release policy, America is in for a new battle for its future. And with Trump’s border wall project at a standstill, the only thing keeping most immigrants from stepping over the line and staying is a short walk—or a climb over Trump’s partially-completed fence.
U.S. border guards already stop an average of 3,000 or more illegal immigrants per day. No wonder Texas is concerned! If this is what happened prior to Biden’s executive order, what can the state—and the nation—expect when there is no longer fear of deportation?
The migrant caravans turned away during the past four years may begin receiving a warm welcome in a community near you. No COVID-19 testing, no criminal record check — just a pleasant stroll from a land largely controlled by the Mexican drug cartel.
And it’s not just our neighbors to the south anymore, either. While migrant caravans may include Central American immigrants from Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala, border security continues to discover fence-jumpers from China and Iran. Don’t forget — 9/11 was not about the thousands of people who entered America; it only took a few radicals to end the lives of nearly 3,000 of our nation’s citizens.
In addition to Biden’s new ways of handling illegal immigration, our land now faces his “woke” ways regarding new refugee caps. Former President Donald Trump deeply cut previous limits, lowering the past year’s refugees to just 15,000. Biden has already approved 125,000 for 2021 and will likely approve more for the following years.
The ban known as “the Muslim travel ban” — which is really just a restriction on certain countries — also ended as part of Biden’s executive order wish list, now rolling back restrictions on travelers from high-risk nations in the Middle East. Perhaps most concerning in the long-term, however, is the left’s plan for “Dreamers” known as the U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021. If approved, it could provide a path to citizenship (and yes, voting) for 11 million illegal immigrants.
If Texas gets its way, it will continue to control the border and enforce laws to protect its citizens. If Biden and team win, who knows? Either way, the Lone Star State faces a high-stakes battle for the future of who can enter and remain in its land.

Had I a voice that mattered, I would have fought to prevent Biden for the Presidency at the outset! He is no more qualified to be the President that any ten year old child — but that’s too insulting to ten year old children — and he should never have been elected Pres.! But of course, those whose dislike of Pres. Trump is greater than their love of the country put Joe Biden right where he didn’t belong! We can only hope that he’s removed in the 2022 election!
