President Donald Trump is beginning a serious push to roll back government lockdowns that froze the American economy in place as coronavirus cases appeared to have passed their peak.
As President Trump indicated, he and his advisors would take a look at the situation concerning the COVID-19 pandemic after the Easter holiday to make a decision about reopening the country, but based on the increasing number of cases and deaths, it is likely that we will not see the restrictions lifted as the president and the rest of the country had hoped.
While the country did not make this hopeful reopening date, Trump and his hardworking team are hoping that things can begin to get back to normal quickly. Currently, a specific date calling for an “opening up” of the country has not been given, but the focus of the economic task force created by the White House is to come up with safe and creative ways to have large sections of the U.S. open by May 1, according to what administration officials have told ABC News.
President Trump said last Friday that determining when it will be safe to ease the social distancing guidelines to stop the spread of the coronavirus is “the biggest decision I’ve ever had to make.”
While the hospitalization rates from COVID-19 are finally starting to decrease in New York and California, the overall number of cases in the U.S. are still rising. The president spent much of Friday’s briefing by the coronavirus task force addressing the question of when the country could expect to return to normal.
Trump is taking this situation very seriously and has always predicted that the country will quickly return to normal and that the economy will bounce back “like never before.” The president is working closely with his team of advisors including Dr. Anthony Fauci, the government’s top expert on infectious diseases. Dr. Fauci has warned that the virus dictates the timeline of when the country is safe to reopen and also warned that we must “gradually” reopen the country only when widespread testing is in place, so doctors can better identify, isolate and trace cases.
“I don’t know if I’ve had a bigger decision than that, if you think, right? I mean, think of that decision, somebody said, ‘It’s totally up to the president,’ and it is. I don’t know if I’ve had a bigger decision,” Trump said. “But I’m going to surround myself with the greatest minds. Not only the greatest minds in numerous different businesses, including the business of politics and reason and we’re going to make a decision and hopefully it’s going to be the right decision. I will say this, we want to get it open as soon as we can.”
Still, the president acknowledged that abandoning social distancing too soon could result in new flare-ups and spread of the virus, which has already happened in countries like South Korea and Japan. All of these factors, Trump said, would contribute to what he called the “biggest decision of my life.”
“I’m going to have to make a decision, and I only hope to God it’s the right decision. But I would say, without question, it’s the biggest decision that I’ve ever had to make,” Trump added.
I think reopening of States should be done by the Governor of said State and not the President because he hasn’t done much anyway.

I also believe that the high up Democrats need to be gotten out of office. They do not care about the normal people, not even their own party! They are all about their own personal agenda and are in the back pockets for the communist and terrorist. Hillary especially needs to be charged criminal charges now that all her backstabbing is coming into light but Obama had his share in things to,an to think I voted for him!! Dr. Fauci may be a great specialist but remember he is Hillary’s favorite. He was also over the early on supervision of that lab in Wuhan and does a lot more than he admits to.
As far as opening our country, I do not think we can or should just sit back and wait on Fauci, we do need to have precaution because this is a very contagious virus so we still need to stay safe, but I feel that there are ways to accomplish that and open back up our government at the same time. We are not a stupid people and we do have common sense so we do not need a dictator totalitarian form of government keeping us in bondage! We are free people!!

When the lockdowns took place, all businesses that closed and even restrauent that went to take out & drive thru only and those that were ordered to close, closed down in a real fast hurry-nothing was said about closing down real fast. No more than 10 people can gather together, but yet the damned United Nations General Council has more than 10 people gathered together, our cities that have more than 10 city council members gather together, the same with the state assemblies, state senate, Both the House & Senate when Congress is in secession-Oh it’s alright for them to gather together but not anyone else.

Our president Trump has the law of interstate commerce on his side where he does have authority over the governor’s that’s the one thing that the mainstream media and he’s a so-called constitutional experts are leaving out is that the law of interstate commerce supersedes the authority of the governors and gives it to the president of the United States!
