President Donald Trump’s battle with the media over repeated dishonest coverage continued Monday with his criticism of their coverage bashing him once again about the government shutdown and issues in Syria.
Trump called the media “the real Opposition Party” and “the Enemy of the people” via a Twitter post. He continued by tweeting that he considered the media to be “crazed lunatics” and liars.
“With all of the success that our Country is having, including the just-released jobs numbers which are off the charts, the Fake News & totally dishonest Media concerning me and my presidency has never been worse,” Trump tweeted. “Many have become crazed lunatics who have given up on the TRUTH!”
While the media makes it a practice of lying about the President and his supporters on a regular basis, the exact news broadcast or article that triggered his angry social media response is unclear. It was most likely related to their coverage of the partial government shutdown and Trump’s threat to keep the government shut down for as long as he deems for proper negotiations with Democrats for the funding of the wall along the U.S. and Mexico border. Since the Democrats have vowed to block funding for the border wall, Trump met their threat with an ultimatum which neither the media nor the Democrats were expecting.
Fox News’ did request a comment from The White House about what in fact prompted Trump’s negative Tweets about the media, but there has been no response to the query.
“The Fake News will knowingly lie and demean in order [to] make the tremendous success of the Trump Administration, and me, look as bad as possible,” the president said. “They sue non-existent sources & write stories that are total fiction. Our Country is doing so well, yet this is a sad day in America! The Fake News Media in our Country is the real Opposition Party. It is truly the Enemy of the People! We must bring honesty back to journalism and reporting!”
Later, Trump attacked the media once again, but this time he directly complained about an article in The New York Times about his decision to have the U.S. troops removed from Syria. “The Failing New York Times has knowingly written a very inaccurate story on my intentions on Syria. No different from my original statements, we will be leaving at a proper pace while at the same time continuing to fight ISIS and doing all else that is prudent and necessary!”
The President’s attacks on the media and their lies are nothing new, as Trump has repeatedly accused the members of the media and news organizations of delivering lies and “fake news” since his presidential campaign in 2016.

We should really be grateful that we have an occupant in the White House who commiserate with the plight and concerns of ordinary Americans.
National security has long been one such collective wishes. A physical barrier wall is some 25-30 years late and as a consequence the Federal government now has to grapple with a massive illegal immigration issue instead of the DHS and by extension
the overworked underappreciated border security agents being able to just enforce existing laws on border security.
Why the Democrat Party leadership who were once advocates of a stronger national border security up until 2016 or thereabouts now vehemently oppose it and seemingly prefer an open border policy instead is as political as the outcome of the 2016 presidential election which catapulted a NYC billionaire real estate business mogul into becoming the 45th POTUS. And so we fast forward to circa January, 2019, what President Trump and his administration is proposing
and trying to build is far shorter in actual wall length along the southern border with Mexico and unlike the ancient Chinese , the fortifications upon already existing physical barrier wall and furtherance of the overall length will be done with modern technology be and construction equipments. If the estimated length of the proposed wall along the southern border at it’s longest is some 1200 miles, it is still much shorter than what the ancient Chinese accomplished without benefit of modern technology
considering that the Ming Walls ( Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 (14th-17th centuries ), as per one comprehensive archeological survey using advanced technology revealed 3889 miles ( 6,259 kilometers ) of actual wall.

I love my president. Over my 77 years I have never had enough ADMIRATION for any president to actually want to meet him. I don’t like leaving my home, but I would for Trump. I never watch mainstream news as they are FAKE. I’m so worried about the country. We need Term Limits, Stop Anchor Babies, stop releasing illegals into our country with a promise to come back for a hearing.
When President Trump says that the MSM lies all the time, he is telling the truth. I have far more faith in what Mallard Fillmore says than I do the MSM.
I’m old enough to remember every president from Eisenhower to Trump. Over the years it seems that candidates for POTUS, regardless of party, exhausted all their energy campaigning. Once they won, they collapsed in the Oval Office. As the decades have gone by, it appeared to me that the presidents really didnt do anything that changed things. After inauguration, promises made got kicked down the road another 4 years for the next president to consider. Border security is a perfect example. The very day after his election,Trump, went to work making a list of things the people elected him to do and he has been doing them! He has been fighting for “we the people” ever since he was elected to do so and has refused the paycheck he earns while doing it. When I was a college student, I said something critical of the U.S. and a Russian refuge co-worker of mine gave me a severe dressing down about the precious freedom of thought, speech and human rights she never had in mother Russia. An immigrant, Irene Demetrinkov, reminded me of the great privilege it is to be an American. If she were alive today, she would have been a Trump supporter and would be terrified by how much today’s US press is reminiscent of her communist roots.
